Never had the problem, i've found its easy to shift in any gears with something in the ciggie lighter

I doubt any of the V8 supercar drivers have any personality, let alone the time to spend on a show thats most likely going down the tube.

Should be Rick Bates and Grant Denyer.

I wonder what this means for the sponsorship of the TRD Rally Team.
I'm not surprised, I know I am about to get flamed, but neither of the TRD models were that good compared to the standard models. They should have got NBA to design and make the cars instead of Prodrive.
i don't think it would make that much different to the motorsports division of toyota, considering they were fully sponsored by trd prior to having a commerical trd brand. so i guess that if they go back to the old structure, then, theoretically, it shouldn't muake much difference.
I think you are mistaken. TRD Rally Team was TTR before the TRD brand was released.

hey hey hey, leave room for the Micky T :P

http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/story...4-10388,00.html
Top Gear Australia has replaced host Charlie Cox with Trumpeter and Ex-car show host James Morrison.
I wonder if they will find the footage of James Morrison rolling one of Neal Bates' celica's into a ball at Rally Oz one year.
I think its good that they are getting rid of Charlie, but bad choice...

Seeing how removing the filter allows direct access to the tank (ie you could put your hand in the fuel if you wanted), I dont think opening the filler cap will reduce the amount of fumes that enter the car....

a few times a week seriously, lift gets boring *falls asleep
Cos i'm sure u have driven oh so many more faster cars...
-
Its not that hard Simo, but getting the mechanic to do it is probably the best bet. Just make sure your fuel tank isnt full when you do it.
Basic steps are
- Remove back seat
- Pry open lid in middle of floor.
- Unclip the fuel pump, and unscrew the pump/filter unit.
- Remove unit, and look into the fuel tank and see what it looks like, any crap in the bottom is a bad thing.
- Replace new parts with old, dont forget o-rings and the other seals.
- Place unit back into tank, do up the screws, plug it all back in.
- Turn ignition to on, leave for a moment for the pump to prime, then start the bugger up.
Easy!

Petey, no one in australia knows anything about World Rally, its got nothing to do with them.
The reason Subaru Australia stopped rallying is because the Impreza came out with a 2.5ltr engine, and aussie rally rules state 2ltr turbocharged max.
I'd say Dave is on the right track, and there is no homologation models for them to base the car off with the changes that are inevitable in World Rally.
But to answer Dave's question, I do not know, but I would not mind one :P

funny how some 2zz owners think a cai is the be all to end all of engine teck. unless your going to put more than a cai and cat back on your car u aint going to stand a chance against me, mark my words ladies. this is going to ***** a lot of people off i can tell
LOL - from someone who thinks a 1ZZ has 'mini-lift' i dont think anyone has anything to worry about.

Update: The humidity is up today, and inversely the power is down... <_<
Question: Do the ACT peeps get bigger power down their way? Since you're the dry heat capital and all. :)
Gav.
Interesting question.
Hitting lift early in the morning in the ACT when its a crisp minus 5 outside is the most awesome experience ever, the car is an animal. I'm sure the lack of humidity helps as well.
At the dyno day here both rolla sportivo's pulled 120kw atw +

They want to move more into tarmac rally
Where did u read that Petey? I'm interested in knowing more...

All the local Toyotas (especially Corollas) are tuned for 91 RON. Using 98 RON will not make much of a noticeable difference.
My turbo skyline was tuned for 98RON +, so I was only using 98RON + fuels in it.
The higher the octane rating the less detonation.
I only use V Power in my new corolla which is 98 PULP.
So... you own a Corolla, and you say its tuned for 91 Octane, and you say 98 wont make a difference, but then you say you use 98 Octane. Why?
-
Corolla Sportivo will not run on 91 Octane.
Do any of you who posted above understand the meaning of density?
-
Yeah you are right SuperDave.
Its terrible for rallying in general (because Ford and Citreon are boring), but even more terrible for Chris Atkinson who no longer has a drive. Needs to fund himself, again.

Mobil Synergy 8000 is Caltex Vortex98
Explain
Im assuming he means they both come from the same refinery. Both companies selling the same product basically.
Exactly. Mobil doesnt supply any petrol stations in ACT/NSW. Caltex supplies on their behalf.
ENGINE LIGHT WONT GO AWAY!!!!!!

Well obviously you have stuffed something up for the computer to log a fault.
You need to find someone with a diagnostic tool, plug it in, and see what the code that has been logged means.
I would imagine something to do with the MAF or VSV
