Hi guys, some questions about fuel: 1) When fuel gauge lights up, roughly how many liters left in the tank? 2) When is stays 0km cruising range, roughly how many km can be travelled before the car stops moving due to empty fuel? Thanks.

Happened to my 6-stacker cd player as well couple of weeks ago - no buttons worked and the digital display went all weird. It kind of fixed itself after a couple of minutes. Anyway, I have recently installed an AUSPACK unit, so don't have to worry about it anymore.

My battery was flat 'cause - remote wouldn't work, could not start car, map lights no light etc. Eventually had to get RACV to change to a new battery as he said jumping the car could risk destroying the electrical components. It is disappointing 'cause the car is only less than 2 years old and batteries in a newish car are meant to last longer than that!

Guys, do you notice a "static" noise in the background through the speakers when you adjust the audio options onscreen in the AUSPACK unit? When I press the LOUD and DBAS options, that's when I hear it. If I choose preset levels like ROCK or POP, the sound is aweful. Its really annoying 'cause when I turn the volume to about 3 or 4, the "hissing" or static background noise is noticeable.

That would be correct. I highly doubt the Auspack unit will be at fault. It's pre-wired and plug-and-play. With that said though, there was always the possibility of a fault. The only thing I could think of that would drain your battery flat like that would be your headlights left on. The thing is with the Aurion is that one you turn your car off and open the drivers door, your headlights will turn off automatically. The only way to leave them on is if you turn them on AFTER you turn the car off and leave them on. Otherwise, the only other thing that could drain your battery is if you manually turned on the dome light and/or left your map lights on, but this can take a little bit of time away from your car to completely kill the battery. Leaving a door open and leaving your dome light to 'DOOR' would not usually kill you battery since the Aurion has a power save feature in that after 30 minutes of opening a door, if there is no activity and the dome light/door light is still on, it will automatically turn off. I remember when the installer was installing the AUSPACK unit, he found a connection that was removed from the stock head unit, which did not have any place to be plugged into the AUSPACK unit. Did you guys find this as well with your own AUSPACK unit installation? Could leaving an extra connector "unconnected" cause the battery to drain?

No, the radio does not work if I do not have keys in the ignition. That means that the wiring is correct?

Hi guys. thanks for the tips. Had to call RACV to change my flat battery today. Shift lock key still can not be depressed, so will try to open up the centre console. I am trying to figure out why the battery got drained. I am pretty sure I didn't leave any lights on inside. I recently had an AUSPACK unit installed, and just wondering whether if it wasn't connected properly, whether this could drain the battery? Anyone else have any experience with their Aurion battery unexplicably drain to zero?

Can someone please tell me whether they are able to press down their shift lock buttong and what sequence did you follow to press it down? I really need help on this as my car is now stuck in a single garage head in and I can not get a long enough jumper cable to start up the dead battery with another car. Thanks.

Hi guys, got a problem. My Aurion's battery is flat. The problem is that my car is parked head first into the garage. I tried to use the shift lock button to get the car out of Park, but the shift lock button does not even press down ( I have tried all possible combinations with pressing foot break, releasing foot break, key in/out etc). Could someone please tell me how to use the shift lock button so I can put the car into Neutral so I can push the car out of the garage so I can join some jumper cables to it? Much appreciated.

My take is, why bother wrecking such a beautiful piece of car by doing burnouts?

Are YOU aware of what PAIR means in terms of bluetooth? You are creating a pair between the phone and the head unit only. If you can find out a way to make the Auspack unit work with more than one phone at the same time, I'll give you a big thumbs up. Sorry, i didn't mean to be patronising when i asked "are you aware". It was merely a question. I actually did manage to connect 2 different phones on the unit simultaneously. The problem I am having though is one mobile automatically connects when I get in the car. The other mobile I have to manually connect every time I get in the car. I am just wanting to know how I can get the second mobile to automatically connect as well.

The Auspack unit is not that advanced unfortunately. It has enough problems with just one phone as it is. Are you aware of what the PAIR function does in the bluetooth menu? Could this be the option to link more than 1 phone?

I'm trying to link 2 phones at once to bluetooth AUSPACK unit. Is this possible? Or can only 1 phone be linked at one time while in the car? My wife and I are both usually in the car together and I want to link both our phones at the same time.

But even if they install a fixed antenna, would the signal still be good? And Rob told me that soon, they are going to switch off analogue signal so the antenna is going to be useless then. Also, I only get black and white pictures and no sound. How do I get colour and sound?

Just had my AUSPACK UINT installed today by the pros. I seem to not be able to get any TV reception. Can anyone else get TV reception with their AUSPACK UNIT? Rob did tell me not to expect too much from the TV antenna as it all depends on position, signal strength etc.

Just a quick question. For anyone who as installed reversing camera from AUSPACK, which one (round camera or angle mountable one) and which position did you install? The hole above number plate seems to only be able to install the round bullet shaped camera.

So, would it be better if I install head unit myself, but get a professional to put in the reverse camera and the wiring? Would this save cost or do you think it is better just to get them to do everything?

Hi guys, just decided to get the AUSPAC unit after reading this thread. Called Rob and got my unit for $789. He said this is a special price at the moment so if anyone is interested. Now, I am wanting to install myself, but I have absolutely NO knowledge on cars and installation. Would it be possible for me to still do own installation with absolutely NO previous knowledge? I think if I could get the head unit out, that would be easy plugging in all the cables, but how do I run the wire for the reverese camera? I got a quote from Autobarn as they do intallation at $88/hr. So thought might as well get them to do it. How long would it take average to install so I know roughly how long it would take them so they won't rip me off? Thanks.
