  1. hmmm...i guess i have to launch at high tide and come back high tide. more excuse to have a long fishing trip hehe
  2. yea i haven't seen them tow tow anything as well. i've seen them with tow bars though. actually this morning i saw a 1990 or thereabouts camry towing a boat similar to the boat i want. i'm guessing if that car could do it, my car should be able to. should i upgrade the suspension as well? i hate my car to have that sagging look
  3. yea thats been my whole concern is at the ramp. to give you an idea, the boat is just a 4.9m aluminium open boat (tinnie) . i'm not getting a fibre glass offshore boat, even tho i dream abt it everyday hehe i would require a land cruiser for that =p
  4. yes the trailer is braked
  5. I'm thinking of buying a boat and using my corolla to tow the boat. I know the tow limit is 1300kg and the boat in question is abt 850kg (boat, trailer, motor, fuel & gear inclusive). Is 1300kg over exaggerated, i know the golf has only a 800kg limit? Anyways, do you think its recommended? It'll prolly work on a straight road but not sure abt a slanted wet boat ramp? the boat sales dude says no prob, but of course i ain't believing a salesman
  6. Kingsgrove, Sydney. i saw a fully kitted Mazda MPS outside the cop station. They are sure extending to cars other than the falcon and commodore. Camry/Aurion and 380 are pretty common now, although i've only seen them at a scene when something major has occurred. Seems more like a pool car
  7. i get mimimum 650km from my 2003 corolla sportivo. i once got close to 700km driving snails pace
  8. Yeh man, that's the one that jumped onto my side mirrors and hide in there. They are actually harmless according to this fella who tried to catch it from my car. they're not entirely harmless but a bite from them won't kill you either. it'll just give you a bit of discomfort. its just the size of them that freaks you out and the speed they have makes them hard to catch.
  9. yea, even with flashing lights would work. but since there are cameras on princes hwy (kogarah), they're not going to bother and catch as many motorists as possible.
  10. anyone experienced a huntsman running along their dash?! now thats scary for a phobic like me.
  11. i'm all for school speed zones, if you ever had to take/pick-up kids from school you know why. But if they have a friggin camera, they should use electronic sign to tell when they switch over. I had to borrow an old car and didn't realise the clock was faulty. After doing things all day and not looked at other clocks i thought it was well before 2:30pm. Only after a while i realised i went through the zone at around 50kmh at approx 2:40pm. I haven't received the fine yet, but when i do and if the time is under 10 minutes. Should i contest it? How hard is it to use electronic signs? the highways have them. i bet many motorists are caught just becaue their time is off by few minutes.
  12. i only bought the sportivo because it was the best new car at the time and for only $30k, it had everything without paying extra. cheap and reliable and it had enough go. sure i would love to have a bit more torque but i ain't complaining. but i would love to have the S15. that would just negate everything above hahaha. except the engine reliability.
  13. off topic question: is BP Ultimate really the best? i've read two tests carried out and BP always came last.
  14. surprised about the score for comfort and ergonomics. not really suited for large ppl. good to see mitsu with best large car though. they really needed that.
  15. if i get it overseas its approx $900 with current currency exchange rates. this is for the TRD one. could be other alternatives and cheaper too. but i haven't really done any research into this. in other words i'm clueless :P
