  1. As a former employee of (name withheld) and fabricator of the (I don't want to admit it) CAI, I've seen first hand the HP improvements.
I've seen the minimum of 5kw to the bigger 7kw gain.
If you are getting no gain what so ever, I'm lost for reason.

Did you have the full 3" version or the 3" with the 2.75" MAF insert?

I know (my former employer) are very lazy at getting back to people with info regarding ANYTHING, hence, why I now fabricate things and work for myself.

You could also try this thread with links to various CAI threads.

  2. Should contact the forum member 2xs. He will be able to source some coil overs for you. And they won't be made in china ones. They aren't too expensive either.

2XS Racing on Facebook as well, I am actually ordering a set later this week. The brand is DGR, from all reviews read and the quality of the ones I have inspected, they look like an excellent value for money coilover, hence why I am buying a set.

    Thanks guys.

As I am not a sponsor of the forum, I shouldn't post publicly trying to sell my items.

If you do wish to know more, please contact me via PM or Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/2XSRacing

    Thanks again.

  3. That's a shame - what did you swap it for?

It says it in my signature.

But, I moved up to another 2011 Territory to tow my Audi to the race track.

I also bought a Yaris for daily duties.

You love swapping cars lol. I can't see signatures because I'm usually on my phone :)

    Yes, but, no.

I had the Camry for around 3.5 years.

I've had the Audi for just over 2 years.

But I have owned 30+ cars in the last 17 years.

The shortest being only 4 weeks.

  5. Anyone thinking about getting coilovers?

    I had coilovers in mine.

So we got 11 6th gen camry owners in the club? Im sure theres more lol

Make that 10. Mine is long gone, but, just a couple of suburbs away.

It sold as is, so, Sunnybank/Runcorn is now its home.

  6. Thanks for the advice, yeh called them today, they said that we didn't install it properly. I guess i'll see if we can move the flange forward a bit.

That's the excuse he gives everyone and it's usually true. If' it's 2nd hand, you did fit it wrong.

I've seen the "shop" first hand and I can say there are flaws in the manufacturing process.

If you bought it new, it's probably the apprentice making it and not having it touch the stops in the jig.

Lowered or not, it shouldn't be rattling.

  7. The fuel consumption:

Why do you use 98? 91 Ron is fine.

I've tried it (driving 400+km/week) It makes no difference in a basic family car.

Around town I get between 10-11L/100

On the highway I get 7.4-7.7L/100, but I can get 6.5L if I remove the subs and drive like Miss Daisy.

    Stereo static:

There is a factory amp for the aerial (in the back window)

You need to connect power to it to turn it on.

I can't remember exactly which wire it is. Try Google for a quicker option.

It's can be triggered from behind your H/U.

Also, there is another wire you need to earth in order for your steering wheel control button to change the display on the dash.

  8. I have 20x8.5 +45

They sit flush on the front a little tucked in the rear.

My insurance company lets me do anything, as long as it's legal.

In QLD we are allowed to increase to any diameter, as long as the rolling circumference doesn't + or - by more than 25mm and the track doesn't change by more than 25mm.

  9. The capacitor you are thinking of is for large current draw, like running a big amp with subs.

What you are after is the smaller type, it generally goes on the back of the alternator.

I would check your wiring into the headunit first, it can usually be traced to a bad earth or a large power wire running near the speaker wires.

  10. It should only void your warranty if it is directly related to the fault caused.

Fitting HIDs and the wiring loom to the indicator stalk malfunctions, then I'm sure Toyota could trace it back to the HIDs.

Fitting HIDs and the rear seatbelts stop working, then it's not related in any way to the HIDs.

I have 8000K HID low beams, std high beams, 8000K LED parkers and 8000K LED foglights.

  11. There should be some who sells for RHD. Just like for the Aurions'...

There is, but they want nearly double what the LHD ones sell for.

Want to make a set for me then too?? :D

Bugger on the RHD, there are 3 of us want it.. Just gotta find another 47!!

Looks like I'll need to buy a second set of headlights.

  12. Yeah i know that part of the installation , but the wiring . did you wire it to the footwell light switch !?

I wired mine into the interior light trigger (down the passenger side A pillar)

It comes on when any door is opened, but, not when I turn the interior light on.
