Whats the issue with the A/C and the Power FC? Ours is perfect with the Motec, its great between stages B) . If the car is too warm though the idle goes all funny, but you can deal with that.

Micky if we are comparing ECU's then the Motec is the Ferrari and the PFC is the VW based kit car of the thus mentioned Ferrari.

I know of one BB harness in Brissy that combined with a PFC is entering an engine bay of a Sportivo real soon. Combined with a dose of CES goodness i'm sure the results will bring a smile to the owners roughish looking dial.....

Silva, I know more than most people that the Motec and the PFC cannot be compared. I'm not trying to. No point, the motec wins hands down, but then the extra $$ make some people think its not worth it. Still, we have the Sportivo putting out the most HP (NA) that I have seen so far, so its worth it to me.

Besides the shell dynamics, the Celica has IRS which is an advantage to it's handling ability. I also think the hi-cam comes on a bit later, however I could be wrong on that one. The Corolla's actually handle just as well in the right hands (reference to Peter T), in saying that the Celica may be easier to drive from the start for someone new.

In a straight line they'd be very similar. It would be dependant on the skill of the drivers shifting to establish the end result.

you know i think there are a lot of corolla's out there that would eat your rx for brearfast like mine for instance on 16yr old stock sx rolla suspension i did a 2.09 lap around easter creek race way n open centre diff and 3 previous runs experience i did a 13.7 @ 104.7 mph down the 1/4

The FD was one of the most balanced cars in terms of handling, let alone straight line speed to ever come out of Japan. I already know I'll out handle, and out run you in a straight line by the figures you gave.
