  1. Interesting. This car had sportivo side skirts on it? Or Levin? Or custom Mr. T?
  2. mick, u gonna bring your missus and her rolla along to this one? or is she not interested in this kinda stuff, just like mine? Pity she has to work (Raiderette). Perhaps next time. I know mine's coming. She loves the Sportivo (she wants one lmao). Strange how I have the only gf amonst us that actually encourages me with modding it lmfao. Is that good or bad? hehehehe
  3. Come with us, have some lunch mate, take some quick snaps, and then quickly set off to Bruce Stadium at 1:15pm. Easyyyy mannnnn. I can sense a 40-0 scoreline to the Raiders somehow too...hmmmmmm :D
  4. YES! If I can leave trails of red paint all around Civic on our cruises I will be happy lmfao.
  5. An idea: 1) Meet at CIT Reid TARMAC (yes Mick, TARMAC lol) car park at around 11:30am Sunday 2) Get food and crap, then head to Carillion 3) Photoshoot commences I promise I won't be sick this time :S
  6. Lunch...lunch lunch. Let me seeeeee (dammit, I hate it how we don't have kebab vans here!!!) a list I have prepared: a) We could be super cool trendy ******ers and get something in Manuka or Kingston (Sammy's Kitchen...sweeeeet). B) We could get something from civic, like Chicken Gormet or Kapital Kebab. c) We could go through a drive through, get ****, go to the Carillion and then eat it beside the Lake or something. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "A VY commodore could beat a sportivo in a straight line drag." - SSS Pulsar owner "Oh yeah? WELL MY UNCLES JUMBO JET COULD BEAT YOUR SSS IN A STRAIGHT LINE DRAG!!! SOOO MERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!" - Rob, Sportivo owner.
  7. My motto is mate if you don't drive like an idiot usually no-one will bother you lol. Bangn' and Danz' motto too. Now, as for the wheels. 215/30/18 should be a better profile as the rolling diameter is the same (speedo won't be out by much at all). The guy who's running 215/35/18 would have to compensate big time when driving for speed. Ring up the motor registry and see what they say (I did this with my ride height issue). You'll get a straight answer almost immediateley. If they say no (and your brother was correct) then I think the only way to get 18's on your car is through an engineering certificate I think!?. I say this only because I've seen so many done up lancers/pulsars with 18's on them (an old mate has a VRX with 18's [15 in standard]) so there has to be a way to do it without causing a ruckus. Do keep in mind though mate that some people don't care about the law in order to get their car looking decent lol. "Bomb Planted!" - (Richo and Rob performing covert ops. against the Pulsar boys and utilizing our CB radio's as a communications link). HE HE HE
  8. Now your talkin! Wasn't sure what your preferences were. Some people to have abit of a sidewall so that you retain abit of comfort. Unfortunately you'll possibly have to go to a 30 series tyre (as opposed to my 35 series). This is simply because the 1zz comes out with a smaller rolling diameter wheel than the 2zz. I'll take you for a run in my car though, its nowhere near rough. I will need new shocks before long though. Perhaps coilovers instead. I'll see what my suspension guy says though...he knows his sh!t. Yeah man he should say it's all good. 35mm drop still gives us decent suspension travel and isn't too hard on the stock shocks. If you went lower (55mm drop or 65mm) our shocks would go after about 2 years. But it is a good excuse to get coilovers lol. My list so far are three main brands: Koni ($$$ I think), TEIN, and cusco. Of all three of those I've come up with the following: KONI = Fecking expensive but the damper adjusting and build quality is insane (they use them on touring cars), but they do have ride height adjustables only (no damper) if you wanted a slightly stiffer ride and the ability to dump it or raise it without busting your wallet. This was a high recommendation from my godfathers son who races with a set of koni's (more importantly from someone that's trusted in the family lol). TEIN = Suprisingly seems to be the best bang for buck (seems to be) $2170 for a set of four damper, pillowball/camber adjustable and rideheight adjustable coilovers. This quote was from Capital Steering and Suspension. There is an issue with Capital Steering and Suspension that I'll discuss with you guys outside of this forum tho lol. CUSCO = $2800 for Cusco Zero 2 (used by the infamous Mr. North and the super cool wei wei), they are damper and ride height adjustable. $2150 for Cusco Zero 1, they are ride height adjustable only. Cusco for some reason are all the buzz when it comes to our cars (build possibly). The exact dimensions of a coke can btw is 123mm high (thought I'd add that if we ever wanted to dump our cars more and not get defected by the RTA pests [poor Richo :(]). 123mm off the ground with no weight, 100mm off the ground with full load. Mick, you and I can only go an extra 1/2 an inch at the front and 1 inch at the back as an example (equal gap front and back sets up our cars perfect apparently [rear guard is lower than front]). So yeah. Anyway sorry I raved on. Just thought it would be fair that I share my findings with my comrades. I REALLY want my car to handle better and sit perfectly. Anyhoo, peace out people and take care! Note: I rang the Dickson motor registry today. 100mm IS the legal limit irregardless of the 'coke can clearance' crap. I'm sick of being thrown one way or another regarding this but I've finally come up with a final conclusion regarding that. Richo, what they said to you was bull****. If that ever happens again tell it to their faces lol "Measure it PROPERLY *******." hehe. Just thought I'd update you on my findings (yes I know I'm anal about ride height...I'm sorry lol). Ciaos.
  9. I shall send you a clip of David from melbourne. He is running a muffler and Injen CAI. The tone and sound is awesome hehe. The car just growls loudly when it's opened up and purrs down low. It makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up lol.

  12. The cold air will do the 2zz's and 1zz's good tho. Imagine the pull we'll all have when we grab cold air intakes mick ;) hehe
  13. coilovers jimmy, coilovers ;) heeheeheeheeheeheehee! Yes mick I think that is a good idea (still high on drugs btw - Demazin is good shiznit). Ciaos!
  14. Goddammit I'm sick again! Anyway, btw I like the idea of having a random BBQ. Let us arrange one in the future down at the cotter or something and bring some friends etc. And if you have a fishing rod then you can catch dirty **** carp . BYE BYE for nowwwww!!! (I'm high on cold and flu tablets sorry)
  15. This is fine Mr. T. I'm happy either way B)
  16. Mick, you are a genius. See!!! The Italians are pure class!!! Lol, anyway. Cheers Eggbert, we shall keep in touch. And Mr. T, I shall give you an sms letting you know what's going on. I managed to get hold of order_last_1 and he pm'd me last night saying he'd come. Richo stated he will be coming also. Mick is a no unfortunately (won't be the same without you mate), but hopefully some of us will turn up, although not many people replied to my thread :S. So far I've counted only four of us I think (you [if you can brave the rain :(], richo, order last 1 and me lol). I hope to *** there's more. Will keep an eye on this forum tho. And as for the SSS, good work Mr. T (I piddy da fool haha). I wish it was me. Hopefully I'll hear about it tonight if you come. Maybe we can hang about at the servo out of rain if there's not too many of us mate??? I'll be watching!!! Come on people POST! lol
  17. Me too me too! C'mon we'll alllllll test it for you!
  18. ************************ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ACHTUNG! ACTHUNG!************************** Hello fellow Canberra Sportivo/1zz drivers. It is now official, our mini-meet up will commence tomorrow at 9:30pm in the pulic servant (High Commission) car park just up from the Caltex servo (mick's servo) at the airport. Be good to see everyone there and introduce Canberra to the chorus of multiple 2zz's hitting lift! LET US BE ONE! *****************************************************************************************
  19. Should be ok with me mate. I think something during the day on saturday might be better tho huh? I think the three of us agreed to that on Sunday (or not? :S) Til then, take it easy mate.
  20. Never, and I mean never, ever give a motor a hard time when it's cold. No matter which car you're in. A good sign as to when you can thrash it is when the temp. gauge in our cars are at just over a quarter usually, maybe a bit higher. This means the thermostat is open and the motor is all nice and toasty warm, ready for action. If you run the crap out of ANY motor when it's cold you will get problems later on, such as a blown oil pump etc. Just NEVER EVER do that again Holim, it makes us cringe lol. Take it easy.

Haha!!! Go the Esky! I poured way too much money into mine. All worth it tho. You it's money well spent when you turn the wheel....flatten your foot...and the **** of the car snaps out. Awesome little cars.
  22. Yeah thanks for a great arvo guys. The time absolutely flew! Then again so did you guys, I was trailing out back :( Looking forward to the next meet, hopefully we'll get abit on a convoy happening! Trailing out back my **** lol. You were fine mate.
  23. I've put this entry in here as it's more related to us Canberra people. So here goes. Spotted: 2003-2004 preface lift black sportivo in CIT Reid carpark w. superlow springs. Looked to be a 50mm drop. Other than that I didn't pry into it too much. Went to the trouble of leaving a note with my email and the address to this website if they are interested (hopefully they are, hopefully they're already on here and we know them lol). So come on black sportivo person! Join the fun! Ps: Hey micky once you get the lowering springs it'll be all good man. Alllllll gooooooood ;D Peace out...

Mick's ride is awesome as it is. He's done a real good job with it. I was just bored one day and did this up (yes Mick I know you'll hate the colour, my bad. I preferred the Super White II as well lol).
  25. Cheers Mick. Mick and I had mad time too. Terrorising canberra with some rolla pride makes my mouth salivate. Btw, enjoyed our llittle run we had past Parilament House! We left everyone for dead lmao. Take it easy man, talk to you again soon!
