  1. To program a new key and remote, my dealer charged me $45 for their time. As for the window tint, why not get someone else to tint it for you and skip the dealer. Most dealers get a third party to do their tinting anyway. You can save yourself some money as well. Yes it seems much cheaper and so looks like a go-er. Do you know if a metallic tint affects the radio reception? I know it's in the rear windscreen...
  2. Yeah it helps heaps mate thanks. But I'm bummed about no iPod connectivity to standard stero... I don't really want to mod stuff much. Cheers for prices, I'll get up my local dealer for some stuff.
  3. Hi, I've gotten a couple of prices for some accessories from my local dealer, but they seem a bit high. Also I need a couple more prices. Is there someone selling Toyota genuine accessories on this forum? (There was a guy on the Patrol forums selling genuine at a cheaper price) iPod connectivity = $? Tinting = $485 Carpet Aurion Mats + Boot Liner = $285 Key + Beeper + Programmed = $? Is there a cheaper dealer I can buy from? :D Cheers.
  4. Thanks, I'll go and buy one then. I could only get it to show P1 and freely adjustable.
  5. Hi, I recently got my Aurion (it's great!) but I don't have driver's manuals! Specifically there is a button with "Mode" written on it and when I press it a speed reading comes up next to the clock. WTF is it? How hard would it be to get a copy of the manual from say Toyota dealership? I have had no luck on the net, although I have gotten the service manuals. Cheers!
  6. AGE: 22 SEX: Male STATUS: Taken REASONS FOR BUYING: Sick of my 3L Patrol guzzling the diesel and costing a fortune for servicing, decided to look for a BF XR6 around $20,000. They were all unloved, and the interiors were falling apart! We stopped at the Toyota dealer on the way home and the girlfriend liked the look of an Aurion. Looked up the specs, and sure enough it was a decent car :D So back down to the dealer to sign the papers in the dark of night! We were most happy about them taking the Patrol off our hands...
  7. Sounds like your alternator is dead to me. Same thing happened to my Patrol. Ran on battery for 3 days! Usually the battery works for a while without an alternator but then dies. The longer you run it without an alternator charging the battery, the more damage you do to the battery and the less charge it can hold in the future. If it's not the alternator, it could be something in the electrical system near there.
