my car does this, its because the screen gets too far away from the liquid crystals i assume... Push the plastic surrounding the screen with as much force as youd push the normal buttons on the radio and you should see it come back on

Hey Guys, In Western Australia, when you are issued with a speeding fine, it contains three pictures. Your Car, Your License Plate, You.. I have received a speeding fine allegedly doing 6km/h over the speed limit but the pictures are like this 1) My Car… You can see the outline of a car. The only thing visible is the white of the headlights and the white of the license plate. 2) My License plate. You can see a blurry picture of a license plate. Knowing what mine is, this license plate is mine, however neither of my parents could actually tell what the license plate says.. Granted the actual picture is probably better quality – im not disputing its my car 3) Me The third picture is just a black square. I cant even see an outline of a person… What is the likelyness that they will be able to show me who is driving the car? How does one go about getting this picture. Do I have to go in and look on their computers or can I get a copy etc?

anyone know what the green/black cable is in this picture? is it possible the heat is coming from this? *edit* the cable im talking about is next to the 19 sticker.. I stole the picture from djkor so ignore the red circle ;)

I drive relatively similar while im in sports mode.. I only notice it whem im in sports mode.. If i put my hand on the plastic there I can feel my hand heating up quite significantly... When im driving in automatic, i usually have my hand on the gear stick / hanging over the end of the centre cushion and ive never noticed the heat... Even if i was driving 80km/h in first gear in sports mode, why would this area of the centre console heat up? (i understand the concept of semi automatic, but i dont know why heat would be located here)

When driving my car in sports mode for longer drives, i can begin to feel heat resonating from the centre console just below the stick... I searched around and couldn't see anything related.. It's not a huge amount of heat, but if i put my hand over it i can definitely feel the heat rising... Any ideas what might be causing this to heat up to probably 25-30degrees?

By no structural damage i mean... the metal/frame of the car hasnt been damaged. The plastic itself has been damaged.. Theres a crack in one part, theres quite a thick scratch... i have a feeling parts will need to be replaced.. What i mean is like How long until insurance accept the quotes? How long until the parts are ordered? How long lead in time until the panel beaters will actually take my job and start it? I assume the job itself should only take 3-4 days where i will be without my car

the damage is below.. the problem is its the plastic parts, not the metal parts.. i dont know how they go about fixing that. I assume its a matter of buying a new bumper / and replacing the bodykit as welll I assume its just a matter of them replacing these two parts, attaching it back with the bolts/clips on the metal and away i go.. I assume with that amount of damage its going to be like 1000-2000$ worth of damage so im going to have to go down the insurance path.. (despite the fact the rear bodykit plastic is only worth like 100 dollars + spraying :/)

So my car got mega scratched today and the two plastic parts at the back of my sx6 are trashed.. I am just wondering how long you guys think it will take to get it fixed. Luckily I dont have to pay for it but i do not like driving around with a huge scratch on my car.. This is an image of the parts of my car which were scratched (mines an sx6 though, not a zr6) I want to know from now, until i actually pick up my car from the panel beaters how long it would probably take (including quotes, ordering parts, installing, spraying, etc) I assume like 3 weeks weeks but someone else here may have more experience with this?

Hey Fellas, I washed and waxed my car yesterday and much to my suprise i woke up this morning with white dust all over my car.. There was a fire last night so theres quite a bit of white ash, but theres also specs of probably sand and concrete dust (theres a fork lift dumping tonnes of sand in a truck accross the road) I guess I will rewash it again on the weekend to get all of this off, but in terms of a way to get small bits of dirt off my car between washes, whats the best option? Its a black car, so white specs of crap tend to stand out. I have microfibre towels etc but obviously dry wiping specs of sand and concrete dust into my cars paint isnt smart :P Cheers!

What type of paint do you guys use? Is there a proper paint that you have to use for this or just paint from a spray can...?

I drive to work each day. My gauge has been on 7.2L/100KM the last few days. Long stretches though. Went down to 6.6L/100KM on the first trip... stock wheels etc..

Hey Guys, The transmission in my car at the moment has gone bust and apparently not worth fixing compared to the value of my car. I'm thinking about buying an Aurion from the east (which is 5000$ less than aurions from this side of the desert (western australia)). I am just wondering if there is any costs i might be overlooking? Obviously, the Car. The transport from East->West I beleive after 3 months i require a roadworthy certificate for it. If these are the only fee's, its going to be cheaper for me to get a car interstate than it is for me to buy it here, and trade my car in... And I could probably sell my car for scrap metal :P.. Is there anything i might be overlooking? Also, what do dealers think about purchasing cars from different states? Obviously if required I could pay for a return trip to Victoria to check everything and sign any details that might be required, but even including this I would still be 2-3k ahead at the end of the day. Does anyone have any opinions on this and suggestions from people who have done this or investigated doing this in the past?
