  1. spotted OOY 33H today i think, at 4-5pm going down st johns rd towards cabramatta, had foggies on?
  2. spotted the same stivo a few weeks ago, around canley heights area
  3. yep it doesnt get wet when i wash my car and its only the drivers side. i found that only the base of the floor is getting wet and no where else, like the area where there is that grey plastic bit on the carpet.. around the edges and under the pedals its all dry.
  4. Pics are to big to get a good view of the hole... I would suggest a missing grommet in the floor pan somewhere, otherwise a leaking seal? Maybe round the door or the firewall..... G'Luck mate, damp car smell is not cool >.< oh yeh the pics are too big but i reckon that hole is not the problem. ill try to pull up my the carpet lining when it dries and jack it up and look under it, if i cant find anything, will have to take it to someone check it out - (who? - panel beater, mechanic? ? )
  5. after the rain today my carpet is drenched again.. still dnno where the water is coming from
  6. I have worked in the commercial glazing industry for the last 20 years and you have now pretty much broken every rule in the book. If you find that when you view the glass in the sun, that you have lots of little scratches, then you will need to get some Sirium-oxide powder (also commonly called jeweller's rouge) to polish them out of the glass. And that is hard work. Below is an extract from our Maintenance Manual that we supply for our projects on how to clean glass: oh no... but thanks for those tips. but to be honest there are no little scratches on my windows..
  7. Cheers xoom. will have a look into that tomorrow (more rain this week! ) while checking for places where water couldve came in from i found a hole, didnt have time to really take a good look at it though. Just wondering if this is normal to have that hole there (and if so, whats it for?) - immediately under the edge of the seat on the side of the mound.. (refer to photos)
  8. Spotted John st Lidcombe black TRD hilux plates: "BEAST", very nice!
  9. this is so annoying!, edges of floor mat are still wet., car stinks, windows are fogged up. its only wet at the base, the carpet under the pedals are dry ... tried looking for places where the water could come from but not luck.. found a small hole under the seat where there is kind of a mound under the lever to move the seat back and forth, is it common to have that hole? will take some photos tomorrow if i have time, if my description isnt clear
  10. could be the gromit that is allowing ur o2 sensor to run into the car is not sitting right or has been dislodged ? hey would you be able to elaborate and give me instructions on how to check that? ( not really familiar with the O2 sensor and all that) ta
  11. thanks for your reply. i've noticed that this never occurs when i wash my car even when i use a pressure hose. but yeh currently doing my best to dry it. Just then when i had to drive somewhere all my windows were fogged up (very annoying). i'll do a thorough check tomorrow and tell what i've found
  12. I realised just now that everytime it rains my drivers side floor mats gets heavily soaked. At first when i noticed when it was wet back then i thought it was just my shoes. But after some rain this week in sydney, my mat again is heavily soaked and when i lifted my mats away the carpet lining was also drenched.. the floor mat was also dripping as i removed it from my car Does anyone know what spots to check or know where the water could be leaking in from? cheers
  13. Was scraping for a while until i got into tight corners of the window frame, so i decided to use a dish washing green scourer thing (new of course) with a little Jif. worked a treat! a bit of water and little scrubbing managed to get all the spray paint dust off without any scratches. i'm going to top it off by claying, but will do the windows and my car all at once.. hoping it wont rain
  14. ohh, i forgot about claying, might give that a try. tried with the scraping today on a small area, worked pretty well- i really took my time when doing it. finish off the rest when i have more time. thanks for all your responses
  15. The bit that the arrow points at is a coin holder, the blanking plate is to the left of it. From what I know you should be able to get one from any late model Toyota and it should fit as the hole dimensions are the same across most Toyotas. As Xoom said try some wreckers. that's a coin holder?? lol all this time... never knew what it was
  16. spotted tonight at cabramatta woolies carpark, silver prefacelift with plates LIF77T, twin exhaust, debadged
  17. im planning to make my own halos, so the diametres fit exactly with the lights (being cheap: lol i have been through process of contacting autojoy and getting quotes- too expensive for my pocket) Just wondering if anyone could help me on ideas on mounting techniques, brackets etc. cheers
  18. At my uni (Sydney Uni, Cumberland campus Lidcombe) there's always 2 nice looking stivos. Black one very clean (with maybe a modded exhaust) parked in the back carpark always in the same spot everytime im at uni. The other is a silver one always parked on the side of the road. Any of the owners members?
  19. TOMTOM all the way! bought my TomtomGo730 about 1.5years ago now $350 (bargain at the time) very easy to use compared to other brands, easy layout, (only con: bad battery life need to keep it charged all the time and if not used the battery will die, then u need to charge it for a while and takes a while to turn on- anyone else experience this?
  20. yes, i will definitely take my time when doing it. the spray paint dust is really light like a mist. so, hold it as flat as possible to the window, what about the direction vertically or horizontally? or doesnt matter which way? Edit: as you can tell, still very hesistant to use a razor hhaha
  21. i think i know what u mean... is it only on the passenger side? does it happen only when operating or when u stop working it? cuz mine sits not flat but abit on an angle... <_< if that makes sense LOL yeh i think its normal for it to sit on an angle... on my prado both side straight- maybe just windscreen and wiper sizes?
  22. lol. i didnt think it did hit the rubber sides of the windscreen, worked perfectly fine how it was, just that it didnt give a good coverage on the drivers side
  23. thanks for the instructions. yeah on closer inspection after market ones were fitted and they installed them the wrong way around. (friend only bough the rolla recently).
  24. thanks for the tip! hopefully i can get it all off, its really starting to annoy me lol
  25. spotted clean silver TRD Aurion at canley heights.
