  1. hey guys, i read this thread from the forums about flushing oil

    http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=24229

when it talks about flushing it said that u can use cheap super market oil + flushing liquid to flush the oil out. In woolworths i can only find the 20W50 oils. would this be ok to use or i have to use the 10W30 oils to flush?

i'm asking becuz i cant seem to find any flushing oil from the auto shops (either out of stock or don't have them)

    cheers

Spoke to Toyota dealership service dept: about this. He told me what they do is add a engine flushing liquid (can be bought from Autobarn or any of the similar outlets under IE Nulon and various other brands) into the oil to be drained, runs the engine for 10 minutes or so drains the oil and then refills with new oil as is usually done. Seems easy enough!

This how Ive done it in the past. Nulon engine flush ftw.

  2. in the 2nd pic... thats the drain hole... the white plastic connected to that hole.. on the other side of the splash guard is the Tap... turn it... and your coolant should leak out.

if your still struggling... just pull the bottom radiator hose off.

Yes I can see the white plastic tap. Looks like the splash guard will need come off to access it.

Is this a security feature or did they make access simpler in later models?

Its really quite simple mate, just take off the splach guard, or even just a few screws to be able to bend the front down, and turn on the tap. Im guessing its behind the guard for protection against an outside forces/objects accidently coming in contact with and switching on your tap draining your coolant..

  3. Good start. However you'll find that those pics aren't for the sportivo.

the two point strut your speak of is the normal one you see on most cars. It goes between the two struts and that's it. That pic is of a 3 point strut bar..

Our rear sway is also a more simple design.

Ah yea i sort of had the same understanding as they stated the pictures weren't a correct representation of the actual product. Thats cool but cheers for the

    info! :)

  4. Second quote for the springs i want ..

    Tein S-Tech (2zz): SKL56-S1B00 (F-50mm & 3.9kg/mm, R-45mm & 4.2kg/mm)

None in the country, Japan order

$575 after import / shipping costs, just for the springs

Another 500 get me close to coilovers :(

hmm just found them selling on Nengun.com for $245 AU ..

Anyone here know cheapest way to get them here or where to buy them from?

sounds too cheap, these look different to my Tein S-Tech springs.I bought mine from a Fulcrum approved dealer.

Yea thats without import costs / delivery ends up being $400 odd all up. The picture I dont think is an exact representation of the parts. But the model number is correct so I guess thats all ok then?
