yeh, mine still isn't working either. i'm coming along to the meet tonight with a laptop... i'm going to copy someone's SD card (if someone will let me!)
-
watching this thread with interest... i need new tyres for my stock sportivo rims. NO IDEA what to put on them. I want performance, but i want them to last a bit too. Suggestions welcome!
-
you... are a champion!
-
This may seem a bit basic, but did you go into the settings in the NAVI menu screen and point it to the new iGO8 exe?
haha... yep. sure did. from what i can gather off a heap of reading on the net, it's a problem with my sys.txt file... i just can't get the right stuff in it!
-
Yeh, i've been screwing around trying stuff like that... I can't get it to work for the life of me!!! I'll keep fiddling, if I can't succeed i'll bring my laptop on thursday and copy someone else's file off their SD card.
-
The maps can be a bit touchy and only like to work with certain versions of iGO8. Your best bet is to start from new with an updated program as well. Links are here:
I'm having huge problems with this! I've updated successfully before, but the version of Igo i got from here won't open... it keeps saying "application database not found". Suggestions?

In my opinion, $24 000 worth of used Aurion is better than $21 000 worth of Lancer. I guess it all comes down to what you are after in your car, but a brand new car that is cheaper than your second hand Aurion is cheaper for a reason... you get what you pay for. Not just the quality of the car, but the size, performance, etc. But, if you're happy with the what the Lancer can offer you, go for it.

I actually asked them about that. Apparently it's not that they choose not to do it, they claim that they can't. They said that it's quite difficult to tint really curved surfaces cause the tint has to be shrunk onto the surface to achieve any sort of curve. I don't really understand why this is so difficult, but they said that they would do it if they could, but they can't.
They recommended buying some of that "spray on tint" stuff and just use that... they seemed to think it'll come out ok.

Matt ... my mobile is 0431602103... let me know once u are doing it..
Sorry mate... you took too long to get back to me!! I've already got my tinting done - I used Tint-a-Car in Milton. Car looks SO much better with nice dark windows! I didn't bother with photos cause I'm sure we all know what tint looks like.
Give them a call and see what they can do for you. Mention that you are a member of this club and that we're talking about them on our forums and they'll give you a discount. Worked for me :)
Small mod update... Ultra Racing bars ordered - can't wait! Replacing lower grille with mesh during uni hols.

Hey Matt with your interior light panel which one did you get (number of leds) if you got the one with 6 rows of leds how the fark did you fit it in. Also do all of yours light us me n stylish got 1 each and the tracks burnt out so only half the board was working.
Hey mate, I got this one: 48 SMD LED It seemed to fit in ok... just a bit of double sided tape. There wasn't much spare room though :) When I first put it in, two of the lights stopped working, but I just noticed the other night that they are working again.
-
Just ordered the Ultra Racing front strut and rear sway bar. Not sure how long they'll take to get here... Hopefully I'll have em on next weekend or sometime early in the week after

Does anybody know whether this PayPal code can be used for multiple transactions by different users?
No, if you've been sent the invite you can only use it once and it must be your own PayPal account.
So... anyone keen to help install some Ultra Racing bars???? :)
-
Thanks guys. Yeh... I can wait. For front strut and rear sway it's about $344 off eBay (depending on exchange rates and including the discount) compared to $575 from the Aussie retailer. Are they easy to install though? I would imagine the front strut would be a piece of cake, but what about the rear sway?
-
PayPal has a deal going at the moment offering 20% off any eBay purchase (to a maximum discount of $100), provided you pay with PayPal. I'm thinking of buying some Ultra Racing bars off eBay to take advantage of this offer: Ultra Racing on eBay
Two questions:
1. Is there any reason that it would be a bad idea to get these off eBay rather than from the Aussie retailer?
2. Most people I've spoken to only seem to get the front strut bar and rear sway bar... I'm thinking of getting the front lower bar as well. Has anyone else fitted this? Is it just a waste of money??
-
... you both have the bypass kit right? Without that, you will be going nowhere thanks to the imobiliser. Apart from that, everything else is quite straight forward.
This is for the Supra, not for my Aurion. Nonetheless, it's probably worthwhile looking into the immobiliser. Not sure if his car has one... And straight forward is not how I'd describe them. Finding wires then soldering onto them is easy enough, I'd agree. But not much fun when the car is a low, small and fiddly Supra!

Will have to have a chat about this next time you're out on a Thursday. After about a day working on it, we managed to achieve very little. It's not the same one, but they're probably all equally as complicated.
-
... Then it is on to my remote start alarm which i'm not looking forward to.
Which system did you get? I'm working on one of these with my brother... they are pretty complicated.
-
No I don't have your number... PM me if you want. What did you have in mind?
-
So... the second car has sold. Little bit of extra cash available, let the tinting begin. If anyone else is interested in getting some tinting done (I know, pretty much everyone has it done already), let me know - almost every company i have spoken to will drop their price for multiple vehicles.
-
none of them look good, imo...
i quite like the look of 51DER's car with the new grill... looks very smooth and clean... :)
I have to agree sorry mate... sleek and clean seems to be the look that works (each to their own though). These designs scream Commodore to me. Sorry!

Damn I wish I was at the meet tonight. I cleaned my car really well last night and now it's parked at the airport.
I hate missing out on meets.
Hate to rub it in, but there were Aurions EVERYWHERE... loved it.
-
I'll be out tonight and am bringing the little brother and his Supra. I'm also bringing along another Aurion owner I met at a set of lights last week!!

High School maths teacher & student Electrical Engineer. I seem to have developed a university addiction. Help wanted.

You should come out to the meet this Thursday. I've finally fitted my footwell lights, now with the rears brighter than they were in my Sportivo. If you think your car glows, you should see mine Totals up to 186 LED's to provide my internal white illumination.
Yep... I'm planning on coming along this week. Little brother will probably come with his Supra as well. You can all give me a list of suggested mods then :)
