I'm not an Aurion owner yet, but I am seriously considering purchasing one shortly. We recently hired an AT-X Aurion from Hertz for a five week trip from Sydney to Adelaide over Christmas to visit family and I was curious about the fuel economy so I kept records. We have a young child and this was our first long trip with him so we didn't know how well he would travel, thus the driving days were generally fairly short (although somewhat longer on the return trip) - it was generally open road driving using cruise control set at the speed limit, so mostly 110kph or 100kph and generally very relaxed on quiet roads - not much overtaking required. There was only a little bit of city driving during the trip. The car was fully loaded with gear - boot was completely full, plus the back seat had gear on it (and a baby) as well. Fuel was just typical 91 regular unleaded. Car had around 33,000km on the odo when we picked it up. Car was driven with aircon on high most of the trip because it was pretty much 42 degrees or more every day!! Distance: 4741.8km total Fuel used: 416.1L Avg consumption: 8.8 L/100km I was quite impressed with this result - I was expecting mid-9's
