Oh wow, that is top stuff mate. I dreamed of owning one of these. Angel Eyes look awesome. Is that 201kw in 4WD? or just rear. Wouldnt really matter thats still sick for a forby ute. I bet it would make all the right noices. Ahh mate that is awesome.

I would have done the same thing. You Paid good money for your Kluger, get it all sorted under warrenty
-
Sounds Pretty Dodgy
-
Have you tried the round know on the right hand side of the drivers seat. It kinda moves it forward as well as down but then you can just move the seat back a bit when u finish. I will check next time im in there.
-
Holly Crap Dude, I just read this the news. I didnt think you have a silver car Before. Glad to see you guys are ok from it though. That could have been a lot worse.
-
how do you go with all the power in the front wheels? Wouldnt be much fun in the wet without traction control. If they made a RWD version I would buy it.
-
Just hound your dealer untill they give you one.

The Varta or Black MF AC DELCO battery would be my choice. I just purchaced a Seal Calcium ROCKET battery (same as AC DELCO) to put in my Gen 1 Kluger. Been selling them for years and they seem pretty good.

Seems as though all the pictures are broken.
-
Worth A look I suppose. Thanks for the input.

Nice mate. I did the whole caliper painting thing on my old VS and red is the color I used. Comes up trumps.

Yes well, it has the Fuel burn and outside temp and inside temp screen build into it so you would think if there was any codes it would have displayed them. I can check those things no worries. I have already scoped out were all that sorta thing is.
-
Well, I dont know about fancy but my Kluger does have Climate Control. I dont use the AUTO feature just ac on and dial the temp down to 18. I think Its a compressor issue weather its the clutch or the compressor itself. It kinda has a bit of a rattle to it which toyota told me to "Let it develop". Its still working for now. I got RACQ Ultimate + Extra care so i should be right. Just dont like it when things play up. Just spent all day "Fixing" my Fisher & Paykel Washer. Stupid thing.
-
Just a question about the AC. The other day driving along and the AC stopped working. Could feel the temp change straight away, and the AC button light was flashing. I turned it off and back on again and it hasnt stopped since. Whats the go? Is there a code being flashed? It didnt look like a code just a constant flash. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about anything like that?

Yeah Bridgestone are a good tyre. The RE001's & RE050's are a sweet tyre. Obviously the Adrenalin are the heaps sick as ones though. When My New Tyres on my Kluger Wear out im going to and have already stocked up on (but probably will sell them and get fresh ones before hand but just wanted spares) of the Dueler A/T D694's.
-
You made the right decision on going with the AWD
-
Welcome. Looks sweet. You have some real good tyres there mate. Expensive too.

Nice. Need to vacumm the boot now. lol

My VY V6 Commodore would average mid 7's on the long hauls @ 110km/h I could get nearly 900Km out of a tank. hahaha I dont care about fuel economy so much anymore. If I did I would by a prius. Pft. Just fill her up and pay. Thats what happens when you live in the country and fuel gets to $2 bucks a litre. You stop caring. Specially when you go on the trips and get bargin fuel $1.40 per litre
I just did the Melb to Brisbane run, did anout 1,600km used average 8.6l/100km. Generally sticking to speed limits, plus the odd shoot to 160km/h to get around those pesky road trains. Filled up in Cranbourne, next fill was West Wyalong (spelling?). Stopped over night at Coonabarabran, 1,000km day is easy in this car (I was by myself), I probably could have done the whole trip in one go I reckon. Only saw 1 roo the whole trip, although I had to brake hard once to avoid an emu that stepped out infornt of me!
I should also point out that my Commodore was a EcoTec 5 Speed Manual. theres noway you would get 900km with an auto.

That is one of the FATTEST Aurions I have seen. As for your plans on black for the rest of the car you need to, like on the streetcommodores forum find someone or open (if not already one) a thread for people to put pictures for pro's to Photoshop. Some of the stuff I say on SC was amazing what people can do with photo shop.

:o Yes, I did it, but my wife was against the selling initially.
I don't use it for off road much at all and I don't use the 2nd row seats or the third row.
So its a lot of beast to have around in dollar terms.
I can tell all you guys one thing, IT HOLDS IT VALUE BIG TIME.
But the key was AWD and the third row seats and still in show room condition.
It was a novated lease car, but I was the original registered person it was registered under.
I paid out the residual two weeks back to take owner ship.
I got more for it than what I paid to own it by a fair 0,000 margin and the trade in price was only a few hundred $$'s lower than the original Fleet purchase price.
I will still be visiting this forum and still have a keen interest for Klugers.
I will now be driving a leather interior VE Berlina with 40,000ks on it and I have enough change to buy my wife a new Yaris if we decide on a Yaris.
The maths add up, but I will miss the Klugers solid ride and presence about the whole vehicle.
Funny if you sell the Berlina next week you will be able to buy the Fuel for the Yaris ....they depreciate very quickly...we sold ours to buy the Kluger...I would never do it again....good luck with it
Hi there,
Picked up on the 'key was AWD' comment. I am just about to sign up a new 2010 Kluger KX-S , and at the moment leaning towards the 2WD - essentially because I don't really need AWD. I am coming from a Forester which of course has AWD as standard, so didn't really get the choice :). Is there an opinion that (relative to the price difference) that the AWD holds its value better?
I too will be novating and appear to be getting a nice fleet discount.
Thoughts?
Cheers
Well to put it bluntly. FWD suck. AWD for the win. Sure you pay a little more but seriously a FWD SUV in the wet. Just asking for a crash.

Yes its very strange but I think anything with Holden on it depreciate very quickly. Its a pitty really. Back in 2003 when I bought my first commodore 1996 VS Executive for $13,000. Spent $35,000 on it, and in 2007 got like $4,000 for it :-( (in bloody good condition to might I add). Bought a near new 2004 Series II VY Executive for $25,000 ( a little expensive then but hey it was nice) got $8,000 for it trading it on the Kluger :-( I have no doubt that when the time comes to sell the kluger it will have depreciated less then a holden. Any "Decent" toyota hold there value very well. Its a fact. VE's are a very nice car to drive on good roads and you will enjoy the crap out of the rear wheel drive power house.
