Hello all, Just a quick update. The info that I provided earlier about the VSS wire location is correct, however it is a mission to remove the instrument cluster. I found another source that is ALOT easier. OTHER VSS WIRE LOCATION - VSS wire is SKY BLUE, in a plug that you remove from the original head unit. There are 3 other wires, which I can't remember the colour of but it is the only plug with that many wires. You can test it to make sure with a multimeter however you will need to be in motion, and I recommend to get a friend to drive while testing for obvious safety reasons. The voltage signal varies between 0 and 5VDC I unfortunately did not take any photos during the installation I am sorry, but I will take a photo of the head unit and under seat sub and amp. Hi mate, Just a quick question if you remember. Does the Nav you bought require a VSS speed sense wire connection? If so do you remember what loom it was in when you used the adapter plug? I know it's a little thing to remember, but the only other location is behind the instrument cluster. Regards, Dave

The cost for the unit is $2500 on Special from Ryda, and is the current top of the range from Pioneer there is a video found on the page of this link - http://www.pioneer.com.au/en/Products/Navi...IC%20F10BT.aspx I am also installing a 4 channel Pioneer amp under the passenger seat and a new slimline 8" active sub with a built in amp from Fusion for $299 that sounds excellent which will be going under the drivers seat. Have a look at it - http://www.fusioncaraudio.com/australia/ca...22-product.aspx I have heard them in action, and they sound great if you don't have the space for a large sub box. I have just had twins so I needed to find a solution like this because my wife seems to think a pram takes priority over a sub for some reason....... ;) And finally I will be replacing the standard speakers with Soundstream tarantula 6" splits in the front and 2 ways in the back. The whole system comes to about $3400 (Installation will be done by me so thats free) , and will perfom alot better than the factory Navs so I am told since Pioneer created the first in car nav system. I will try to take photos from start to finish through all the stages from cable laying to disassembly, so it may help others. Regards, Dave

Hi Guys, I just purchased a 2008 KX-S AWD Kluger, and absolutely love everything about it except the factory sound system. I am installing a Pioneer AVIC F10BT Sat Nav to replace it. The reason for this post is for people wanting to do the same but cannot find any information on where the VSS Speed sensor wire is located, which is the most important connection to make the GPS Accurate. I looked absolutely everywhere and could not find the information, but was eventually helped from a guy at a Toyota service center that had the schematics. Here's the info - 2008 Kluger KX-S AWD VSS Speed Sense Wire Behind Instrument Cluster, Plugged in on Passenger side. Runs from cluster across intrusion bar, through the firewall and into the ABS module in the engine bay. VSS Wire is – Brown with Red trace Other wires in loom are couloured – Light Green Violet x2 Pink Light Blue x2 Red Black I hope this helps someone one day and saves a few days of their life, I will post pics when the job is completed. :D Regards, Dave
