  1. 3.8k to hire, thats actually not too bad

i would imagine a big 21st would cost heaps more :P

i cant justify the expense at all... 21 laps is all you get... not to mention all the damage to the car, wear to tires... all for the sake of some bragging rights. We drive Corolla's. FFS!

    Just a Corolla eh? :P

    image00011hu.jpg

7th, 8th and 13th? Thats hardly amazing... Look i am not Bagging the Sportivo... i own one FFS... all i am saying is that i think if you really want to go and spend some time at the track go for it. But i cant justify it. I would rather go somewhere and Be social.

All you guys with coilovers and slotted Rotors, strut bars and sway bars.. would definately have a blast on the track.. you sure have set your cars up like you belong there you may aswell get there .... once!

It's not the result that matters here, it's the time the car does. Mind you, the Corolla that did 1:52 was stock as a rock. Compare those times to other cars that cost 2-4 times as much. Still not impressive for a Corolla?

Having said that though, I'm totally against the idea of a track day at this point in time for the reasons you guys have stated. If people are interested in Track days, EXE car club as Steve has pointed out organise a few a year. Track days for Corollas only have failed in the past due to disinterest from the majority.

Word from the Wise One BB :toast:

looking into doing the front, but kinda cbf pulling everything apart atm

might do a group paint soon with some of the other guys, but really scared it wont be sealed properly afterwards

hey mate yea no need to be paranoid bout the re-sealing...mopp and many of us have done it and have had no probs. my mate Mario and Mopp did it and I did it ageeeeesss ago.

If u need help on how...there should be a DIY thread on it. ^_^

  4. Lets try make this a regular Monthly thing...

I've got a great idea for the next major long cruise if anyones keen...

Will be a days worth of driving... and Start at Lilydale Lake. From here we drive to Yarra Junction and head east to Noojee, where we can stop for lunch at the Pub. Great Pub Food and cold beers set on a river side spot.

From here we back track along the same road to Yarra Junction, and turn right to Mt Donna Buang. The road to the top is quite steep and full of fast cornering joy! the top is very cold and theres always the chance there's snow/ice on the way up so must keep wits about ones self. Awesome spot for a photo shoot on the way up.

This cruise is about 300+ks long and is full of great roads, with nice open sections mixed with great high rev'd 2nd gear turns. well worth the effort to get this one going.

    thoughts and suggestions welcome.

    Andy.

props to u mate of a great suggestion.

would be an awesome run but due to winter best to keep that for spring mate...black ice can be ugly esp wit a lot of cars...but definitely good run. :toast:

  5. Suggestion guys: The Business Park has more lights and looks better den Glenny Multideck for photos and plus its only 10 - 15mins away.

(Directions: From Glenny Multideck go down Coleman Parade (parallel to train tracks), left onto Blackburn Road at the lights, Pass both waverley road and the Monash Freeway entrance, turn right onto Ferntree Gully Road, proceed down Ferntree Gully Road about 1km and on your LEFT you will see some glass buildings that look fairly modern with a sign OMINCO and that's it.) If you pass Bunnings...u've gone too far.)

this is the place we meeting rite? May i know if there is a exact address? coz then i can use my navigation.. easier

I think the exact addy is: between 260 - 270 Ferntree Gully Road, Notting Hill.
