  1. I was recommended Falken ZE912 for my Aurion. I don't want to rush in and buy these without having an knowledge on them. Apparently for $245, they're the best for the <$300 mark. Would anyone have an idea on how these tyres compare to others around the same price bracket?
  2. I'm up for coming tonight. Bored as hell at home. I'm in Roxburgh Park, but I wouldn't mind giving you a lift to the meet. Any drive in the Aurion is one to remember ;)
  3. Wow :o I guess I should have ebay'd it first.. That's still a FM transmitter, your sound would be much better if it's any consolation :P So I'm guessing I spent about $120 in the right direction ;) But hey if you want to see what it looks/sounds like, we can meet up somewhere in Melb?

  5. Sorry my mistake. Is says MP3 WMA. No Aux input... Below is an image of the exact stereo. I actually tried the DIY way, using the 1k resistor + a few wires here and there behind the head unit. Almost broke some pins so I gave that a miss. So, I went the easy way out and purchased this adapter, http://www.cushieaudio.com.au/vehicles/toyota/toyota-toy.html Plug in and play. Really easy, but cost me a lot more. That looks like a good option. Where does that sit and how does it connect to speakers in the car? Otherwise, I'll just have to find someone from these forums who lives in Melbourne that would be willing to help to do it manually!!! :D Haha, it plugs into the back of the headunit. I sat it under the headunit (behind the empty slot) A cable connects to the adapter and then to your phone/ipod. By the way, I live in Melbourne. I can show you how I did mine if you like?
  6. Just the other day I was changed my parker lights. I got the 25 LED white ones? They are too long, but I got it in there ;) Anyway, I had no idea how to take the original parker light out and well I was curios with what the bolt closest to the parker light did. I turned it clockwise for a while then realised it wasn't making a difference.. until last night I went for a drive and saw that my right low beam had been dropped dramatically. I would assume that the bolt (the one with the gear teeth under it) changed it. From what I remember, there are three of these bolts behind there. It was the closest one to the parker light that changes the low beam vertically. I took off my whole bumper when I did this, so I really can't be bothered doing it again for photos. But if required, I'll give it a go and take a photo.

  8. I myself have gotten a 20% tint on all round. It's been about 5 months now, and have had no problems. But hey, it's only a matter of time? Personally, if I could go back and choose again.. I'd go the 35%, mainly because I've seen the 35% tint on other Aurions and it's looked just as good. Stay on the legal side, 35% is all you need.
  9. In terms of HID's, it's just as illegal. Retrofitting HID's into a car without all the necessary components (self-levelling, headlight washers, etc) is not legal. Halogen bulbs with specifications for colour temperature is just a load of marketing crap. They usually vary by different levels of blue tint on them. If they don't carry the appropriate ADR markings, then they aren't legal. But with all that said, the chance of getting done for it is not likely unless you get something that is way out obvious. I guess that sounds fair. Smart thing to do would probably be to stay on the legal side of things. Thanks again!
  10. Well would it still be illegal if I got 5000k Halogen bulbs? ..or is 4300k the highest legal limit?
  11. Which light are you talking about? Fog, low, high? Low beam. Low beam HID is recommended. Many of us here have HID low beams and are very happy with them. Its high beams that aren't recommended, because constant short bursts of usage can shorten the life of the lamp. Oh, that's awesome. Thanks for the help :)

  13. Sorry to be a pain guys, but if the HID isn't recommended.. then which type of bulb is?
  14. Definitely the second one out of those two. But what colour is your Aurion? You should also consider a Lexus style grill instead. Thanks DJKOR & Taco, my Aurion is Caribbean Blue. Everything is still stock, working on getting a body kit mentioned somewhere on this forum though. Also want to get the Work XT7 rims ;)
  15. Hey guys, those grills look fantastic, really gives the Aurion a mean look. Just curious to which of the two fits the Aurion ATX 08' model; I really want one!! http://www.rstyleracing.com/index.aspx?ProductID=Product-100823135672202 or http://www.rstyleracing.com/index.aspx?ProductID=Product-091021203658684
  16. Hey guys, I want to purchase a set of WORK EMOTION XT7 rims for my 2008 Aurion ATX. I'm just curious to know whether 18x9.5 rims would be too wide?
