    Hi

I got my Fortuner Crusade model last week end, it is awesome on road. I owned previously Kluger, i was looking to get 4x4 and diesel option. After few weeks research, i felt

Fortuner is a right one. I ll give more updates soon.

The styling is probably the issue. Most people I have spoken to about it aren't big fans.

Hmm...It seems to be selling nicely in other countries (South Africa, Thailand, India, Indonesia) so maybe we have no idea what we're talking about?

I am hoping to pick up my Crusade later this week.  It will be a bit different from the Corolla but I have had 4WDS before.  It took me a while to come to terms with the design especially the raised back wheel arch, I still don't really like this but compromises have to be made. I did consider a Pajero Sport until I was advised the GPS only works when connected to a smartphone, fat lot of good that would be when there is no phone signal. Also I looked at a Santa Fe Highlander as promoted by John Cadogan (Auto Expert) until I saw a You Tube clip, the damned thing just couldn't make it up a wet grassy track, a bit weak for a SUV. However,  I will really miss not having a sun roof and my only option would have been to go with a Kakadu but besides the price I think the Prado really needs a major update.  I am hoping more people see the benefits of the Fortuner as I have seen very few on the road.

Yah I've been surprised that you don't see many on the road considering they've been out for just under a year.

There are a few up my way in the Adelaide Hills but what usually happens is that people see new models getting around and then become interested (advertising doesn't hit everyone.)

Let me know how it goes.

  4. The car drives completely different to the Tarago (more like a truck where the Tarago was quite smooth.)

In saying that the Fortuner obviously feels very solid and seems to handle well on the road without being too noisy.

I just got back from Melbourne where I got just under 8.5 liters per 100 kays which will only get better as I get more KM into her.

  5. hey ninjaa im thinking me next new vehicle will be a peeps mover and i really like the tarago ultima or glx v6.

just wondering how yours is going and any mod updates yet?

    cheers cam :)

    Hi Cam,

  7. Good to see some more SA'ers here :)

Seems to be more and more people from SA getting on-board. With the nicer weather approaching might be time soon to organise an SA meet and greet.

    Now that would be cool.

  8. that targo looks good, especially with TRD rims

    and the car looks shiny

Not looking so shiny at the moment!

Nothing worse than rain for 1 day and then nice weather for the next week.

Don't buy a black car (pain in da *****)

  9. Looks very nice, I'll have to keep an eye out on the roads around Adelaide.

    What colour is your TRD??

Will have to keep an eye out myself!

I've got a silver TRD. Prety much sits in the garage at the moment while i try and sell my other car which is a silver 96 MR2 Bathurst edition. Been using the MR2 as my daily while i advertise it. Where in Adelaide you from? Im in Paralowie and work in Findon.

I am originally from the northern suburbs (Windsor Gardens) but now live in the Adelaide Hills.

  10. Dam.... U coulda bought my wheels!

I'm sooooo glad to see someone mod-up a Tarago, I'm soooooo sick of done-up Odyssey vans. Well done, great start

You don't see any of them Odyssey's done up here in Adelaide.

I reckon they look pretty good but not as nice as a nice Tarago.

Many TRD's getting round in Brissie (if that's where your from)?

  11. TRD 3500SL RIMS??????????????????????????????????????????????????? :o

    I dont understand your reply.

Dont like them rims on a Tarago?

NAhh, maybe he's surprised that you got those rims? ANd that they suit it well?

    Cheers jeffbro!

  12. I also don't recall seeing those wheels the other night.

Nice to see some work done on a TRD. Hopefully it might encourage certain other TRD owners on here.

What's the little red button below the air con for?

That's for rotating the number plate when you just realised your about to go through a speed camera when sideways and about to grab for third!

    :help:

  13. Unfortunately It won't be for a while as I am going through the process of building a house that has been a pain in da a$$ to date.

Might go the exhaust first then the suspension.

    Cheers

    :-)
