how was the OP dennis .. any pig trouble up there ?
well no cops on the way up
on the way back on F3 there's a marked police car parked in the middle facing us in the 90 zone.
when our 15 cars drive pass at 100-110kmh (luckily) he flashed his police lights and scare the **** out of us!!
luckily none of us got pulled over!
OH? did you guys go to the O.P. last night?
all the way up to Gosford and back by freeway?
-
glad you guys like em .... the 9 picture stich didnt really work .. a bit to dark .. but im still mucking around with the pic ...
Thanks for doing this, Jason :)
-

I just spent the last couple of hours doing a diy cai...
Got a 3" to 2.5" reducer + 3" flex pipe. Cut the existing intake feed and stuck this one on.
Woah... what a difference it makes, intake sound is noticeably louder from 3000rpm upwards and throttle response is noticably faster. :D :D :D
Total cost: $40
It's a great job well done :)
That's the way i want to do mine too, so did you bypass the white box on top of the fog light cover?
Can you tell me what material to buy please? Thanks :)
Mine's pre facelift, I didn't notice any white box on top of the fog light cover. The flexi pipe just sucks air from within that front chamber.
Flexi pipe can be bought from clark rubber, and 3" to 2.5" reducer at supercheap auto or ebay. You also need something to join the flexi pipe to the reducer - I used a pvc gutter down pipe extender that I had lying around in the backyard. If you can get a 2.5" diameter 90 elbow it would make installation a lot easier rather than using the existing intake and cutting it like I have.
Big bum, thanks... will ask you about your source once I crave for more power...
Thanks Bit Racer,
Mine's the pre facelift too, the white box is under metal plate that sit under the battery....But since you have connect the pipe directly to the airbox, then you would had by pass it already....
Thanks for the info :)

Just before people speculate as to what happened with me.
On the way to the natio that paddy wagon did pull me over. I was probably speeding 10 - 15 k's over at the time.
The first thing he said was "Were those two blokes in front of you your mates". and started quizzing our motives. I had a chat and said Yeah just some mates we are on our way to the gong. He breath tested me and gave me a warning for dangerous driving?? i dont knwo why???
Anyway he proceded to say to tell "my mates" to slow down as he saw them what he called " street racing" of a set of lights a 5 mintues before.
Im guessing he was referring to you dylan and the soarer as you were the only people in front of me. He was actually tryign to overtake me to get you guys when i sped up thinking it was Voy (Grey-Rolla) trying to get in front of me, so i kinda saved you :P
Anyway he was an alright bloke and lucky for me clean records in the past 6 years that i only coped a warning.
Hope the cruize was alright and there were no close calls.

I'm glad that he didn't give you a fine, that's a relief for us.
Maybe in the future, we should travel in a smaller number of teams, so it doesn't draw as much attention.....

i was at a T junction this evening and my lights went green and some guy whooshed across the intersection (obviously the lights had JUST turned red for him)...
flash.
gone.
he'll be receiving a lovely fine and 3 points... poor guy...
The other night I was near the Thorneigh McDonald where we had the club meet last time, I was walking on the street, waiting for the traffic light, and saw a car went pass the red light in frount of BP and got "Flash Flash"....at the same time there were a few guys laughing in a Holden, then they turned right, guess what?...the red light camera went "Flash Flash"....they were too exciting about seeing other car got photoed, and forgot to watch the light themself.....hmmmm......then? I laughed....poor guys.....

Yah...i've tried my original touch up paint, and it's far too dark...it's almost black, and my car is dark blue (8P4)....wonder how much would it cost if I ask the panel beater to mix me some? and where?
I used fine tip toothpick...work ok :)
-
thanks guys for the comment
i personally prefer the te37 too..
and about the enkei... yeah they are bit small but i like them cos the offset is +32 :P
Hi Stockvvti, nice wheels :)
Do you still have the Enkei? are they 15" or 16"? are they for sale? :)
where did you get the Carbon Fibre Bonnet? how much is it?
-
Mine seems fine...althought it is over 3 years old, maybe my car is all stock, no stereo, no sub...nothing....so it has less wear on the battery?
-
that is a good looking yaris :)
-
why put the Corolla's Engine when you can SUPERCHARGED THE STOCK YARIS ENGINE
Why supercharge the stock yaris engine when you can TRD supercharge the 1ZZ corolla engine!!! :D :o :o
my thoughts exactly... :D
haha...i agree too :)
but the 1zzfe in the Yaris would be good enough...provide that the car is so light....that would be amazing :)
-
Sorry to hear that, mate, but lucky you're ok. Althought I don't understand what happened.....
that's something i would never expect from the battery....smoke and explode.....learn something new everyday...
you sure the radiator is not leaking or anything? better give it a check before you drive....
-
not get fines?
nah sorry man that sucks hey! i copped a 175 fine about a month ago too... they are so lame...
yeah im going to canberra for a date with michael on monday, its going to be awesome. i love driving long distances on my own (not that canberra is long distance) i went to hawks nest to meet friends on my own over easter, it was a great drive...
anyway looking forward to saturday... we doing O.P run?
you got one too? isn't that ridiculous? $175 for a parking ticket??!! $50, even $70 is still acceptable, oh man, $175!!!!!!
i love driving long distances too, provided that i have good music..haha...Canberra is a good distance, but watch out for highway petrol....
Can't wait for the drive on Satauday...O.P. would be great fun :)
-
Good one Tom :) Very creative :)
-
im so sick of hearing about lift... (becuase i get jealous)
my favourite thing about the ascent?
its the next fastest corolla to the sportivo...
haha....but our 1ZZFE is lighter, better fuel economy, cheaper insurance, and easier to find spare parts in the future :)
this topic sounds like the Guide Dog Ad. on TV :)
-
the rounded side almost reminded me that Ford Ka.....too rounded....
when i first saw the corolla ZZE122R in Australia, I thought the tail lights looks like the Audi A3... :)
-
Tom's going to Canberra..haha, have fun :)
Just got a parking ticket today...parked outside TAFE for half an hour, and a $175.00 fine! that's ridiculous!!!!!!! There goes my 2 months petrol money....and damn it, i'm not working....how am i going to save money to modify my car :(
