Thanks all, The car is auto so no clutch problem. The sound doesn't necessarily get worse and sometimes you can't really hear it and I'm pretty sure it's not hindering performance. Just would like to get this fixed as I am currently trying to sell the car. Thanks,

Hi guys I've got an 05 Echo and the shell is damaged but the electronics are fine. If I buy a replacement shell from Toyota can I just get the key cut and screw open the shell and put my current(still working) electronics in it? D

First post here so hello everybody! I currently have an 05 echo, great little car and hasn't caused me any problems. However as of a month or so ago there has been a knocking sound coming from the engine bay when idle, however only when I'm in drive and the sound disappears if I shift gear to neutral. The car still runs fine so it may just be a loose bolt or what not but if guys could help me out that would be fantastic. Cheers
