  1. The way the back seat is held down is quite shocking. In most cars you have a tab you can pull on to release it, but unfortunately on the Aurion it is just a matter of pulling the seat up with some force. There are two 'clips' that hold the seat down and it is best to squeeze your hand as close to the clip as possible and pull up. If you have larger hands, you can use a long screwdriver to lever it up. It's kind of hard to explain; but if you use a torch and look under the front end of the seat while trying to raise it, you will see what I mean. Once that is out, you can remove the back rest portion of the seat by removing three bolts that are located near the bottom of the seat belts. In addition, there are step-by-step instructions in the appropriate service manual: http://www.camrystuff.com/manuals/Gen6/2GR-FE/Seat.pdf (page 47) Hi sorry for bothering but am wondering if you can get in behind the top part of the back seat in an 09 aurion? I have to put the seat covers on and have no idea how to even attempt the back seats.
  2. Hi i have only noticed it a few times and doesnt happen all the time but my car seems to thump when i put it into reverse, has anyone else noticed this? Would have to admit its a little worrying when it does it, although does not effect it reversing or anything just a loud thud when put into reverse. I have tried pushing harder onto the break and not releasing the foot break right away and this does seem to make a difference occasionally. But would like to know if anyone else has had it happen?
  3. yes still under warranty. But i dont know if it has always done it i purchased it from a dealership second hand. I will try and get a picture. it looks like it has been doing it for a while as it has worn a nice little chunk out of the metal/paint. Was not happy when i found it.
  4. Now thats one damn good looking aurion. Nice job.

  6. Hi sorry to bother people again but i am wondering if anyone knows how to fix the windscreen wipers hitting the top of my bonnet (only on drivers side and only right on the end of the arm not the wiper blade), I have a aurion touring edition i took it to a car place here and they basically told me theres nothing i can do, but i just think he couldnt be bothered doing anything. He told me that because the blade arm is not loose there is really nothing he can do. But its taking paint off the very top of my bonnet. Can anyone help?
  7. Thankyou so much. I thought it was just mine as i have never owned or know anyone with an aurion but i am glad theres nothing wrong. Yeah mine sits on the 2k rpm for like a couple of seconds then settles down and runs normally.
  8. Hi i am just wondering if anyone can help me i have just purchased a full set of fitted seat covers for my (just) purchased 2009 toyota aurion touring edition and not sure how to put them on. Does the back seat move and does the bottom of the seat come off and if so how difficult is it to get it back into place? Also when the car starts is it normal for it to rev higher then it does when just idling?
