Hey guys I wanted your opinion on something.. I own a 2005 Corolla hatch 1zz-fe engine.. I was considering getting a CAI system for the car.. Now I know its not a sportivo so should I really bother with it? The one I had in mind was an AEM branded CAI system this is the link of the place & price.. I was just after a bit of performance, was wondering if this would be worth doing it or not.. They reckon u will feel an increase in power but I dunno! Thanks bro appreciate it.. Yeh looks like might have to just go with the non genuine the genuine is bloody way over priced but oh well.. I rang a few dealers & they said to me that if I want it cheaper I can wait for a customer not wanting theirs.. Like if a customer buys a brand new toyota & they want the GPS navigation unit instead they remove the original one out of the brand new car & replace it with the GPS navigation unit.. Toyota said if I bought the unit they removed it would around $450 fitted.. But thats the thing I'd have to wait & god knows how long that'll be.. Nevertheless they said it will still come with warranty & everything because the removed unit is practically brand new..

Hey guys I wanted to upgrade my stock audio unit on my 2005 model Corolla Ascent hatch... I'm having a visual look at the website it seems to be the same size as the stock one on the car at the moment so I reckon it should fit.. Has anyone upgraded there stereo with one of these Toyota Audio units & roughly how much are there units? Thanks heaps guys :D I know I could simply buy an aftermarket one but I like these ones they seem pretty good..

Yeah its an automatic Corolla... & nah the a/c wasn't on.. Hasn't happened since but when it occurred first time I just left it but second time when it happened a few days ago I was thinking there may be something wrong here! & the fuel I use is always 98 premium..

Hey guys just wanted your opinion on something.. Ive got an 2005 Corolla Ascent hatch. Just a few days ago I came to a stop at the traffic lights.. As I was idle I felt the engine shudder for a about 1 sec. The car just suddenly vibrated within that 1 sec then went back to normal... It happened a few weeks prior but again just a few days ago.. It occurred for 1 sec first time aswell while waiting idle.. What could be the likely cause of this? I do take care of the car alot it gets serviced every 10,000kms & the next one is due in about 2000kms time.

Is it safe for the car to be run on a constant full tank? So filling it up once a week with a three quarter tank still left..

Hey guys I'm having a problem with the interior light at the rear of my 2005 Corlla hatchback. Not the one in the middle but the light that is meant to come on when the rear boot is opened. It is meant to show on the front driver display that the hatch is open however in my case it doesnt do that when its opened. The light that is meant to come on when the boot is opened doesnt turn on also. When I initially bought the car it wasnt working, however recently it started showing when the rear boot was open and the light came on whenever it was open just recently. But now again it has stopped working. It sort of comes and goes. The bulb is not burned out & I dunno if its a fuse issue because it does work randomly. Is there anything you guys can suggest I try or do? Thanks heaps :)

I went for a cruise on the motorway & it seems it has done the trick.. I drove for about 30km's started it the next day (today) the car was starting normally. Hopefully the battery can last a bit longer before it needs replacement anyway... But cheers for your help man :D :D

Yeah I had a suspicion it may be the battery.. Its a 2007 year model & now its 2011 so it may very well be the battery dying out slowly... Umm I have used the audio system while the engine was off but not for long I'd say for around 2 or 3 minutes..

Hey guys I've got an issue with my Rav4 ZR6.. When going to start the engine it now takes longer to start. Normally as soon as you turn the key to the start area within a second it would start. Now it'll take longer to start so meaning you have to leave the key on the start position longer to get the engine running. It was fine last week dunno what has happened to cause this. Has anyone had this issue? Does it go away or should I contact a Toyota Dealer? Your help will be really appreciated guys :D:D:D

If you bought it two weeks ago should be with warranty.. Take it to Toyota see what they say? But yeah thats way too much fuel consumption, my Rav4 V6 doesn't even use 12L/100km..

Hey guys I have 05 Corolla with some rust build up around the rotors & wheel hubs.... It doesn't exactly look all that good, so I was wondering if there is an easy way to remove this without having much trouble?????? Thanx guys I would really appreciate it :D :D :D
