  1. 100,000km service on current model corollas is just oil and filter change and the usuall checks etc..... expect to pay around the $230- $250 mark, all dealers do vary, shop around, but the prices are around that, thats what my work roughly charges for that service.
  2. i would have to agree with the lack of torque, after the peak power they dont seem to go no where after that. i also find that they consume way to much fuel. whats your average fuel consumption on that one??? i dont also understand why the $12000 price difference between diesel and petrol, toyota has to be the only company that charge that much for there diesels. but overall the v8 cruiser is a pleasure to drive and handles very well on road.
  3. Hi, i have had the same problem at work with an echo. the oil had not been changed very often and the wrong oil was used in the motor. the oil had turned into a mud like substance and required the flush out. the oil light on is the vvti valve which has to be cleaned out and the engine light reset. it will fix it although the problem amy come back, we had to replace the valve altough then the problem sometimes would still come back.
  4. Hi, i would leave it in o/d alll the time, the transmission wont shift into o/d it until speed reaches bout 70kms, so until then the auto will be in third, i dont no why they give you the option to turn it off anyway, its an extra gear to have, the engine works less harder, and you get more out of every gear by having an extra. up a hill the trans will kick down anyway even if the lever is in o/d. you dont have to stop to turn it off just lower the speed to around the sixty mark before you do but. sorry for the long reply hope it helps.
  5. hey phil the best make of spring bushes and dampers i think, would be old man emu i got them on my L/C and havnt had any problems with them, they are a popular brand and high quality. if you go treking alot and with heavy loads i would recommend having a look at all your suspension, if its original, it may be worn, if so the handling, steering and braking will suffer, as well as ride hieght and other problems will occur. you dont want worn suspension specialy in the sticks when the going gets tough. just a question bout the leaf springs are they original????
