It doesnt look that low in the photos - lol
But some lowering springs can make them lower in real life :)
-
They could have increased the power of the Corolla a bit more to 2L engine, they increased it for the Camry to 2.5L wit 135KW now.
Then it would have at least 110-120kw (nice increase from 100kw/103kw). Maybe they're waiting it out till the next model :)
-
07-10 had 100kw as well - they increased it on this newer version by 3 kw
-
Have to agree with you on all your points rich. The exterior definitely looks a lot sportier and comes with HIDs (no mods needed there).
What was the kw like on the previous model? Much of an increase? Last corolla I drive was 1999 model lol.

I think you should be able to yes, as long as a liscensed person does it.
-
Just to let you know, they are "TRD" mufflers. Yes they are definitely more expensive than your average joe exhaust place sports muffler but these are from the people that makes them for TRD. Also not sure you realise how light these mufflers are. My TRD muffler, also made by the same people weighed half of what the aftermarket toyota sports muffler before that if that.
also they bolt on directly . easy diy
Only on aurions though - still gotta go exhaust shop for our camry :)
-
I doubt there will be any aftermarket stuff until warranty runs out - im sure 99% if not 100% of people here dont want to void their warrnty :)
-
So we got 11 6th gen camry owners in the club? Im sure theres more lol

Yo Guys,
I found 2 kappa wheels and a honda wheel (sold as 3 wheels) if anyone needs some kappa wheels :)
http://www.ebay.com....=item337d86d23c
Forgot to mention its starting for $99
-
Yeah thats right Energy MXV8
And yeah its very cheap!
-
For all the camry/aurion owners with stock alloy rims. Saw some brand new michelin tyres if anyone is keen.
Doesn't get cheaper than this. $500 for 4 Michelin energy tyres brand new. He said postage to Sydney was $25.
-
I found 1 kappa wheel on eBay if anyone is looking for a spare wheel.
This one has been on eBay for a while but the price has dropped from $200 to $155 now and is free pickup in Melbourne (Dandenong) and I think he said it was $20 for postage.
-
Well they're not really making profit at $800. $500 for the exhausts and about $200 for postage + customs. $100 margin max.
Unless they got it really cheap - it's a pretty big effort to be doing it.
Hope they bring more camry parts over :)
-
Anyone seen a/m ones? I thought they'd be available like the body kit is :)
-
Yeah you'll get used to it haha. I did that for 2 weeks or so - still can't get used to reverse parking though. Cameras might help - I need to get one at the back when I get my touchscreen :)
I had to get used to moving from a camry 2000 (parents' car) to my first car camry 2007.
-
I know the camry sportivo here and in the US have different suspensions. Not sure about the stock models though - might be different or the same as BigVan said.
-
the people demand a video !!
i second this!
-
fits orions - obviously cant spell Aurion :)
-
-
It's a camry with an aurion front 100%. I almost bought that car but got sold before I could go see it!
You'd be crazy enough to convert your car to a single exhaust ;)
-
Yeah they CAN'T be installed on the SL because or sports bumper and sports headlight. Different wiring for the headlight and different bumper :)
Check the site you will be able to see the comparison:
Sorry I got it wrong.
Basically the SL version has the following:
- Blind Spot Monitor and Automatic High Beam
- Rain sensing wipers and electric rear sunshade
- JBL premium audio system with 7" display and Satellite Navigationand SUNA™ - live traffic data updates
- Reverse Camerawith path prediction reference lines and auto dipping side mirrors
- Dual exhaust
- Sports driving mode with quick response paddle shift technology
- Power output 135kW
Basically its needs more wiring for Automatic High Beams and various other electronics that it has over all the other versions of the Camry.
- Blind Spot Monitor and Automatic High Beam

Its the sports lights and all the other sports accessories they add onto the SL.
Similar to the Altise and Sportivo before the Atara range. My 07 Sportivo headlights and rear lights are different to the Altise.
Camry MCV36R -1MZ FE V6 alternator replacement
in Camry Club

Hey mate,
If I'm correct we should have the same alternator but I'm not sure if it is in the same spot?
I got mine fixed not too long ago because it wasn't charging the battery under 1000RPM!
Does your engine look like this:
If so there's 2 main bolts you have to remove and you have to remove the belt from the alternator (but you don't have to take it out completely - just wedge it off from the alternator). Then you have to disconnect everything else.
Now with the bolt it will be complicated and you will need a socket set and a pretty long breaker bar to get both bolts out. Both bolts are located and the back of the alternator in a horizontal position. Unscrew them both and try not to drop the bolts - like me and my mechanic did :)
After that its just a matter of pulling it out after you have disconnected all the wires and the belt. And then just work backwards to put it back in. Dont forget to reset the ECU once you have completed :)
If you have questions PM me I`ll try help you
