We meet at the aqua golf range, so for most that would require you to drive down the M4 to the penrith exit
we MAY go for a cruise after, but that will be decided on the night
peace out

On a few occasions I have taken my 1997 EP91 Starlet onto gravel roads in the mountains, and the car seems to manage pretty good but I was just wondering if its "recommended" that Starlets are taken on these saught of roads for any length of time.
A couple of times I could feel the car drifting a bit which had me a bit worried, and those tractor tracks had the car bumping like crazy
I used some initiative though and left the manual trans in 2nd gear for most of the trip (was a hilly dirt road), didn't seem to struggle up the hills at all.
if it's good smooth dirt, any car shouldn't have a problem. if you try $WD driving with it, you might run into problems :P
oh and after, give a good wash to remove all that dust you build up

welcome to the forum :)
nice ride :D
7k on a sound system, SHEESH, my cars not even worth that :P
I think you need to add a TOCA sticker to it "au.toyotaownerclub.com". nice, cheap and easy mod :D

nice setup, bad taste in music, sorry
ooooooo tell us the price son!

going cheap on anything brake / tyre / rim related is just asking for trouble. why do I get the feeling this was done by a backyard charlie, with no real accountability
just ask my uncle. he went cheap on brakes once > all 4 shatted in a emergancy stop, car was a right-off. This was in 1996, ever since then he had stopped being a tight ****
hey, if you look at the last pic, there is an L plate in shot. Was the driver a learner? If so, it would have scared the $hit outta them

i dont own a stivo, but it looks wicked
wonder if i can get the camry dash to do that when i get over 4000rpm? :P
Need advise on purchasing Yaris
in Yaris / Echo Club

firstly welcome to TOCAU :D
the main differences between models are the amount of toys you get, tho i will say the base YR has enough for most
a/c, p/s,mp3,p/windows (3door). a couple of little details which I think are needed in a car of this day and age.
I have driven a 1.3ltr heaps (company car) and I have driven it to a few meets / cruises and i haven't had a problem.
i took it on a recent cruise (nov 06) all sorts of driving conditions (open freeway, twisties, start / stop) I must say, it is remarkably comfortable. for a 6ft tall, ample gentleman, i didn't have a problem! It really doesn't matter which toyota, i dont have a problem with getting in or out, and plenty of head room!
If you'd like my personal advise, got the YR 5pd Man 3Door. cheapest of the lot, still get some nice toys, cheap to run. If you can live with audio controls on the steering wheel and some knobs covered in cow, get the YR!
FYI: I drive the YR 3door 4spd auto for work, which has all sorts of drivers driving it (mainly full plet) and after 80,000kms, still good as new :)
