  1. Hey mate, sunroof wont be a rwc issue, just dont point it out and fix it later down the track, as for the rear tail light, easiest place to look is a wrecker and you'd be looking around $30 or so, ozcelica is abundant in parts if you put a WTB thread in the wanted section and such.

As for the WRC, do you know much about the model itself and its slight differences from the sx models? :)

Also bro, if you sign up at ozceli send me a friends request ^_^ The name on there is Kirius, be more than happy to help you out with any celica related questions you may have.

    GL !

  2. holy f**king christ that sludge.. screw that... would be horrifying to find. o.0

Hehe on the engine pics.. it looks so familiar yet so... empty ....like your missing something.. xD

Nice on doing the work yourself and such :P good to see, sh*t you live in WA though.

With a set of decent wheels and trd removal, this 204 has potential :)

  3. ozzytyres.com.au do a set of initial D white rims, they look very nice, would suit a 184 well especially if yours is also white, other options include SSR's, speedy also do rims to fit our cars, or you can check out the catalogs at your local tyre places, all depends if you want functional race rims or cosmetic/chrome wheels.

As for simple mods, go a decent CAI, 2 1/3 catback system with a set of 4-2-1 extractors(pacemaker, hurricane, wildcat, etc, made quite a noticable difference in sound, economy, and performance.

..However the 4-1's sound tinny and imo arent much of an improvement.

Could always go an aftermarket radiator/upgrade all your hoses, braided, piping, vacuum lines they do wear out and the age of the car doesnt help.

There are brake/rotor upgrades out there, check out RDA/DBA for slotted/drilled.

Can switch your standard headlights to projectors.

There is also bodykit options and gt4 hoods on carmate.com (aus supplier)

TWM Performance do short shifter kits.

There are engine cosmetics such as small anodized throttle bodies, chrome billets for radiator overflow, water reservior, power steering, pod boxs, etc on ebay. ;)

Decent set of strut bars does wonders on the 184's.

BC, D1, Ksport, tein, megane etc Coilovers are a good mod for n/a cars, can never improve your handling enough.

Could also waste a few $ on upugraded sway bars.

Internal upgrades on the 5s are not worth the $, dont bother unless your turboing, the 5s can take a sh*tload of abuse as i've experienced firsthand lol, and cams on a na 5s have to be pulled out of the car, sent off and custom cut for roughly $800..

Also not really worth it, it'd be lumpier but dont expect performance miracles.

Im far from an expert on cars, but i have looked into a tonne of options for the 5sfe's/celicas in general and as much as i can tell you i love the thing to bits(quite literally), its not a fast motor, nor is the car itself made for track.

But you can always make it look the goods. ;) GL

  4. Isn't it about time you gave up on that super charger and just went for a GT4? :P lol

LOL! compression is 17:1 the gasket used when the bottom end got rebuilt just wasnt up to the task.. -.- lol (keeps blowing due to the 184's head being shaved beyond its maximum recommended lvl (due to an idiot mech many yrs back)

    ..

i went one better though... call me a traitor but i just bought a black 180sx ;P

  5. baha the last pic of mine. I think it's time for a paint job LOL.

My pics are coming... unfortunately mine didn't all come out right. Blurred and too bright... so trying to photo edit them... *novice to DSLR*

Im a noob at this photography **** too, i tried, im not even using adobe im stuck editing on my ****ty HTC and paint.. i even forgot to blank plates >.<

Trent didnt like the pretty colours lol -.-

    Note to self: ..Monotone.

  6. Yep your celica is in the 90-93 range so anything from a 1990,1991,1992,1993 model will fit/interchangable.

As for smoked/led/altezza tail lights for our models... They do not exist at all unfortunately.

You can get crystal/clear/black lights kits, but it'll only include front bar indicators, side indicators, parkers and headlights.

You can if you wish custom smoke your tail lights yourself, you will need to pull them apart, clean them up and use a tint-spray called nightshade.

There is a tutorial of smoking tail lights on here somewhere if not try google, theres a tonne of guys who've done this manually to their celicas.

  7. Continuing with the stainless plate, remember that double sided tape you hid beside the pods packet?

Sit your plate on your cluster and confirm it lines up nicely around the rings and of course it the right one, refrain from finger prints and pods at this point.

    WP_000453.jpg

Cut your DS tape into whatever shapes you need to (1cmx1cm max)cover main surface points. you will need to cut a few fine slivers to go on the pointed wedges(5th gen plate only) as these tips will not sit flat permanently and when they left you will get a slightly annoying vibrating rattle and have to pull everything apart again to fix it. (i did this and i still cbf fixing haha thus learn from my errors ;D )

    WP_000458.jpgWP_000457.jpg

    WP_000459.jpg

Place carefully and avoid having to adjust once the tape touches.

Apply slight pressure for around 3 seconds to each area you placed tape when your happy its lined up. I went off the rings lip.

All these parts, rings, gauges, steel plates are ebay sourced, reasonably priced, good quality and quite quick in shipping they stock most gens in these plates.

Screw your plastic shield back on and you should end up with something thats ready to go back in and looking something like this.

    WP_000461.jpg

Plug in the dash and do a quick test run.

    WP_000467.jpg

Now get busy reassembling everything, once again ill stress, do not reef or pull too much on your air con/climate control black trim plastic arch.

If you have any screws left over at the end of reassembly, you screwed up lol.

remember the two under the climate control panel, the two in the dash arch, the 4 that should be holding the cluster, the two near the ignition the one in the door trimming, etc.

Dont forget to hook back up your boot latch (you may of unscrewed this).

Then sit back and enjoy your handiwork, the light show, and of course the rest of that packet of pods. :D

I hope you guys enjoyed my first and very amatuer-like tutorial and that it will come in handy for you at some point in time. ^_^

    Thanks for reading.
