  1. I LOL'ed when you two washed your cars last night.

    >.<

so we wasted an hour or two of our lives haha laugh.gif

as much as id love to brag it was just for the tocau meet...spiteful.gif it wasnt.

It had mick, johno kev, craig and my handprints all over it still from the weekend, looked like a preschool painting :P

which is cool and all but not the look i was going for. :D

i got enough multi tone going on i think

  2. This is a headache waiting to happen, honestly mate i guarantee you 80% of the guys on this forum have thought about this and in the long run, its not going to be a good outcome. the design of the fwd 5sfe is just not suitable for a rwd conversion the car wont run right and most conversions compromise strength.

as wonderful as it would be to have a rwd 5sfe it is not worth the trouble.

if anything your better off converting an awd gt4 to rwd.

    but GL anyway.

  3. haha, second chick in a celica, (which is kinda weird cause i always thought there would be tonnes...) awesome, makes two of us!

    ^_^

You and Branno would get along wonderfully spiteful.gif

its a bummer your in vic, woulda been fun to cruise!

I don't think they're a "chick" car at all! And, yes, would be good to go cruising with you.

We obviously share good taste in cars :)

Am going to look up Branno - is he cute?!?!?>

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH..

    "wouldnt go there".

    . oh god

    ... ill be back.

and in reference to the celica comment i meant like how the mx5's are known as hairdressers cars even though a decent rwd one can fly...

celicas had a girlie rep for a while down nsw.

but i dont know a single one but you, a 6th gen kung fu girl and me so id say we're rocking the guys domain hardcore :D

    laugh.gif

  4. I have a lexus engine in my celica? well, I will....

OP, come along to our Brisbane meet on Thursday nights, a few of us either own celicas, or used to.

I was there last Thursday night and met some of you. Kirius, I left for home around the time you headed off to meet the others so I missed you.

I didn't mean to cause any offence to other Toyota owners; don't get me wrong - the other cars there looked great, but I thought that other Celica owners would be the best people to advise me about specific Celica-related things to look out for (and also where are the reputable places to get parts and where can I find reputable mechanics who really know Celicas and wouldn't steer me in the wrong direction with them?)

I had some bad runs before with some mechanics who have tried to disable things on my cars before and then try to offer me peanuts for it, and I know nothing about cars so I'm an easy target. I just hoped that some Celica-savvy people might tell me what to look out for.

I have no interest in turning it into a street-machine; I just want to get it back to full-running condition and intend to keep it for years to come...

I certainly wasn't trying to project an "Us vs. Them" attitude! :-)

Kirius, I might catch you at another meet maybe?

definately ^_^ i will be there this thurs, ill be earlier though now that i know where im going.. (blames HTC)

    once again i quote:

"(mick who has owned like almost every model in every gen-currently owns a sexus :D,) and Trent who runs the same motor but in a camry(well did before it became a 5sge) both these guys are encyclopedias on celicas and im sure we can help you with any prob you have.

(yay finally another st184, im excited, LOL)clap.gif "

just to stroke trents ego :D

    haha.

Yeah ghost i know exactly what your talking about too i have been had recently by the dodgiest mech ever, but thanks to mick and trent, i now know the best registered mechanic around(except them of course but theyre not mechs by public trade), if you have probs you need only find Johno. :D

  6. hey ghost 5,

your name is quite cool. when i first bought my white st184 i nicknamed it ghost too :D

but not cause it was white, cause it was quiet and had pop up lights LOL id ghosty people i used to cruise with at night down nsw. :D

now its called liger, cause its in transition from a doughy cruiser to a half respectable street car.

by next year it will be renamed typeZ or the Z, in reference to the legend of the wangan midnight videogame/anime datsun 350z

that and it will be a one of a kind 5sfze st184.

    your name well suits lol.

hope to see you at the weekly thurs night TOCAU meet you can find all the info on it in the forum "meets and events."

in regards to celica turnout there are 2xST162's, 2xGT4's, 1xST184 (mine) and you have (mick who has owned like almost every model in every gen-currently owns a sexus :D,) and Trent who runs the same motor but in a camry(well did before it became a 5sge) both these guys are encyclopedias on celicas and im sure we can help you with any prob you have.

(yay finally another st184, im excited, LOL)clap.gif

  7. Sweet as thanks guys I'll try there and yes I'm in brissey

can confirm as of yesterday they have a semi recent white st184 hatchback shell, and a 6th gen st205 (with a grease painted smiley on the boot)

both dont have motors and theres pieces missing but seeing you have a whole car it should be too much of a hassle.

  8. What is with Celica owners and wanting to only meet with your own kind. Not directing this at you Brad, but more of a general statement because there have been more than a few new Celica members with the same mentality. Our Brisbane meet is open to everyone. No need to separate yourselves from the rest of us.

    *grovels*

    sorry!

    *slaps bad mentality*

hehe, i love all tocau equally!

celica, camry corolla, sexus doesnt matter we are all toyotas

    more members the better laugh.gif

  9. laugh.gif

    LOL

sorry, im with himura-san... the initial overwhelming action to lol was too great.

Not laughing at you specifically though, ive been there too, done stupid similar stuff its all part of learning! cool.gif

put up a pic sometime of it all cleaned up black, could be quite interesting ^_^

    Good luck!

  10. They arent illegal, in my experience with them and cops they actually commented on liking them once.

but that company is making a fortune off them you can order them on ebay saying whatever you want for like 10-20 bucks.

You can also buy badges, random tattoos, dragons, emblems, almost anything. i had chrome dragons next to my no. plates and a single wyvern on the front windscreen a while back. they weather well and are fairly water resistant.

But i wouldnt recommend using lettering unless advertising a business or car club.
