  1. Just saw a Levin ZR ad in Wheels. "Still the world's most popular small car". Not for long if it continues using the same old engine.

Well, my brand new Corolla was in for a complete clutch replacement after... 4000km, and their service wasn't exactly accomodating, so that's reliability and service out the window for me.

I'm not asking for a new Sportivo but the small car segment is hotting up and there will be a lot of new engines from the various competitors that offer the same or more power with better fuel economy.

Speaking of the Levin ad, Toyota's calling it "the sportier Cor...

rolla", with front bucket seats... on a car with 100kW engine?

I don't know about you but I RARELY see any Levin on the road and when I do, it's usually an older Levin. I do see many Impreza RS, Lancer VRX and 3 SP25, all of which cost around Levin money.

That tells me people in this market DO care.

ok, let me remind u that this is a site for discussing and sharing opinions on toyotas and other cars in general. if you are going post a problem that you have we are happy to help you, but bringing it up every few weeks with no solution isn't really helping this community either. thats what the toyota costumer relations are for. go speak to them. they maybe able to sort out your problems.

  2. $3000 to insure a sportivo under your name?!? Damn... lol
  3. 500 bucks? ouch. Is that Comprehensive or 3rd party? I got my 2010 ZRE insured for $750 Comprehensive cover with AAMI.
  4. Use your dad's name with you as the secondary driver, might be cheaper. Although if you do something stupid, as most teenagers are proned to do, it'll probably affect your dad too.
  5. Failing to notify your insurance company could result in your claim only partially covered, usually in the case of cosmetic mods like body kits, or even not covered at all, usually in the case of performance mods. The more extreme your performance mods are, the less likely your insurer will cover you if they weren't informed prior to your claim. If you're at fault, you may have to pay for the damage you caused not only to your car but to the other car or property.
  6. Question is, even if the OP managed to fix the car, would it be road legal? I don't know what sort of damage it sustained but by the sound it, neither does the OP. "As far as I can tell" doesn't really cut it IMO. Wouldn't it be wise to get it professionally assessed first? You don't know what kind of internal damage the car had sustained. If it suppose to be written off, well... those cars have to be registered as write-offs right? Sorry, I'm just looking at this from the legality perspective.
  7. I just figure you're from southeast Asia and I been there before and I know most people would just pay off the cops. Sorry if I was wrong.
  8. BC2 has perks too, they just call it "specialisation" or something. To be honest, I'm just getting the BF3 mostly for the Back To Karkand BF2 maps.
  9. Whaaa? Where did you get info from? America? This is the country where the people keep shooting speed cameras... Speed limited to 160kph? I know Benz limits their cars' top speed to 155mph, which is 250kph.
  10. I just read that Nissan's Juke is powered by turbocharged 1.6L that outputs 140kW and 240Nm. The engine's Direct Injected though.
  11. It's Subaru's boxer engine so it's probably around 200kW and 350-400Nm torque. Anyway, back to Corolla... There haven't been any news about 2012 Corolla so I'm hoping it's because they have something new to introduce. Either that or they really don't have anything new to show.
  12. Yeah, the concept looks good. Most concept do. But look at the spy shots. http://www.tune86.com/ft-86-news/14731-new-ft-86-spy-shots Looks a bit bland to be honest. A bit better with the lip, skirts and rear spoiler but still nowhere near as exciting as the concept. Don't like the angle of the windscreen, doesn't look sleek.

    Comic

HAHAHAHA awesome comics, the first one made me jumped twice. Second one wasn't that scary though... but thanks for the links!! I love it!!
  14. Oh it's ok. I just noticed he's not in Australia so whatever he does in his country has no effect on us whatsoever. Go ahead, drive as fast as you want on public road. I'm sure you can bribe the cops if you get caught.
