Update: Just ordered a Weapon-R ram air intake from back home (USA) and some bits and pieces to make it work properly. CCFL Angel Eyes HID headlights should be arriving soon. Will put up progress photos as things arrive.

LMAO!!!! Wow! Sounds like you will need an additional control module because your power mirror controls will only control the mirror, not the entire folding unit. Ask if they sell the control module and how much. I'm keen too if you wanted to try for a group discount. Definitely aftermarket or it would cost an insane amount of money.

Hey guys, what is the best track time anyone has gotten in their Aurion? My search for track time in the forum lead me to Daryl's launch video from the track..... I can't wait to get my TRD to the track this winter. You guys race with traction control on or off? Any launch tips?

I pulled the heat shield off for pics of the underside of the bonnet. Expecting a design in the next couple days. Post image when I got one.

Look.... Everyone is open to an opinion. But not every opinion you hear is based on fact. Are CF panels illegal? Yes. Because they are unsafe? not exactly, more because they aren't crash tested for each particular application and Australia is erring on the side of caution. Fiber glass is also illegal... Polyurethane body kits too... and guess what, an ally bonnet is illegal too... Nobody will get an ADR on a aftermarket panel anywhere past your firewall with out putting serious coin for engineered tests. Have you seen CF in an accident? I have. Do you have any examples of CF being the cause of death and not the impact? Love to hear some proven facts on this. Check out the link below. Not to brag.... Hehehe.... But I wrote off an Accord with a CF bonnet and smashed a deer in an IS300 with a CF bonnet in the USA.... Carbon Fibre doesnt shatter or splinter into pieces, just looses structural integrity and gets flimsy at the breaks. Fibre Glass shatters into a million pieces, only the subframe remains in a high speed crash.

It CAN'T be that impossible. Half of the high end cars are made from CF or Fibre Glass external panels. I sent the factory some pics of the inner and outer of my bonnet, and they are designing it with vents. I will post images once I have them. $875 AUD each if 10 are interested in a group buy. May even get a few myself since there is nowhere else to get them, and sell them off.

Singapore not Thailand.... and they were recommended.... Aurion bonnets weigh (unconfirmed) 29kg. CF will be less than 10kg, and vented.

I wouldn't pay more than around $1000.... I thought I would get numbers first. I asked: "do you make a bonnet for a 2007-2009 Asia spec Camry, Australian Aurion" Response: "we do not have one yet. We do custom molds, but it would be expensive" I am waiting to respond until I have some leverage to bargain

I am currently negotiating with a Carbon Fibre mob in Asia for a custom bonnet. I think it may be cheaper if they sold more than one. For negotiating purposes, how many would be keen?

I have Nokya Hyper Yellow bulbs in my high beams atm, pretty much becomes daylight......

Guys, I broke the guts of my driver side headlight doing a mod. Toyota replacement is 500+.... Aurions are badged as Camry in SE Asia right? Any tips on finding after market lights from Thailand or Japan? Vendors you guys have used that I can email? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Steve, next dumb question, where would I find sheets of polycarbonate? How much of the old intake did you take out? Looking under the hood today, seems like there will be an odd looking void if I gut it all.

Hey Guys, I wanna do some custom work on the intake. Would 10mm or 15mm perspex work as a heat shield? Any TRD owners use HKS or Injen intakes yet? Reviews? I am just sketching up plans now. Cheers!
