$960 each with ballast and bulb or just the headlight?
-
I got this Android app called FuelLog which calculates the distance travelled, my fuel consumption everytime I fill up, plus a few other stuff. You should get it if you have an Android phone, I don't know the iPhone equivalent.
Anyway, it says I do about 8.5L/100km. I usually fill up at 1/4 to 1/8 tank and I get around 450-500km between fill ups.
I use a similar program on iphone call "Gas Cubby" Really good app, i use the free version, has some ads but still works!

Have to keep an eye out for those wheels, prob impossible to find them in australia
Pretty hard to find here, not cheap either, 16" is about $350 per wheel then add a few hundred to ship :(
Hahaha like those TRD wheels on the TRD site, i like them, but they were about $400 AUD a wheel
A small thing i think that makes a different on the ZRE is the headlights on the Levin, they have charcoal bits inside the lights, i was talking bout it in a thread i started, but i think it makes the car look better :P I was trying to get the lights so i could fit them on my ascent sports...

Ok sweet looks like they are the go. Which ones did you use?? I know there's a few different kits. What is the legal issues related to them? Like is there a limit before they become unroadworthy?
Back to the Levin lights, would I be able to swap out the headlight unit for mine still? I guess the HID component on the Levin lights is just the bulb and ballast, the actual plastic headlight is same as mine fitting wise? If that makes sense haha

Any issues with heat when you put in HID kits? I'm new to aftermarket HID as you can probably tell haha. And any issues with warranty?
-
Yes that is a touch on the pricey side Im not to keen on generic ebay kits, id rather pick up a set of Phillips HID off ebay, cheaper than autobarn. Has anybody had any experience with the Philips kits? Good/Bad?
-
Your driving style afterwards will determine that however.
Hahaha this is also an issue :P
How much money have you got? A pair of headlight assemblies aren't exactly cheap. That was going to be my next question, does anybody know how much these would cost me

Ok time for my first newbie bunch of questions guys so be gentle haha.
First question is, has anyone put one of the K&N panel filters in their Corolla? I have a ZRE152R Ascent Sport 2010 and i thought about getting one, but last time i bought a K&N panel filter i got one for my old car (nissan dualis) and it made fuel economy get a little worse. Couldn't argue that it improved acceleration and performance. I just dont want to fit one if its gonna stuff up the fuel economy to much...
Lastly, this may sound like a dumb question, but is it possible to fit the HID lights off the Levin ZR onto my Ascent Sports? I like how the Levin lights have grey inside them and think it would look good on my car, but i dont want to bother if its going to be to difficult with adding ballasts (think thats what they call them) or anything difficult like that.

Try taking the battery out of the laptop and without the AC adapter plugged in, hold down the power button for ten seconds. Some laptops have safety switch sort of mechanism built in to protect the laptop from things such as surges when plugged into powerpoint. Ive had some trouble before with laptops and this method has worked for me :D

Where do you guys usually meet up?? Just joined the forum tonight and hoping to head to a meet soon :D

Hello all!
My names Lachlan, i live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and just thought id introduce myself and explain my story hehe.
My first car was a AE92 Corolla CSI, it was my baby, i had it for three years. I had fitted a full 3 inch exhaust system to it and it ran like a dream. Sadly it was always on the small side for me as i am quite a tall person. Last year my parents offered to sell my car and let me have the Nissan Dualis my dad owned because he was upgrading to a new Subaru imprezza, it was a bit bigger and newer than my car so obviously i took the offer. Boy i regretted that decision every day, had problems with that car, and i just always missed my Corolla!! So finally last month i decided to sell the Dualis and get a new Corolla. Im now driving around in a 2010 Corolla Ascent Sports, its a Manual in Silver Pearl. Ive been lucky enough to grow up with Toyota in my life, my father was a senior executive at Toyota for 25 years before he resigned. Ive been lucky enough to experience a lot of different toyota and lexus models through company cars.
This forum is quite large and a lot to get my head around haha. Im looking forward to attending some meetups, hopefully they arent to far away haha.

Well, I wanted just the headlight and thought the HID would come with it originally. Im more interested in the headlight than the HID. I was just asking about the Phillips kits as i had never dealt with them.
