  1. Van, looks like you're having the same issue with me on the rears. 19 x 9.5 and a hell of a lot of scrubbing. Guards rolled and flared and now coilovers in to stop to scrape but still needs some adjusting. How are you going with those wheels?

Oh and Peter, nice choice there!

  2. u cud try going to battery world. im not sure if QLD has it, but here in WA they sell the battery for it, ur local dicksmith wont have em.

Correct, they are a bit of a pain to find but u can get a replacement battery from Toyota if all else fails. Last time I needed a replacement they wanted about $30 however I did eventually find one for $15. Just check battery specialists as per the above posts. Good luck!

  3. Lets Face it...new aurions taillights arnt that good looking...

but i thought to rectify this issue!... can we just tint the taillights...so a bit of playing with the pic... i made this pic...

let me know if its worth doing this to my aurion...

    Isn't tinting the taillights illegal?

Certainly is. If i were to do it, I would get a reversible solution, so if you get defected you can just take the tint off without having to fork out for new tailights

Yeah agreed, get one of the tint films on ebay so you can peel it back off if you run into strife. Looks Like they come in 2 tint strengths generally, super dark like ur pic and a much milder version also.

  4. Just leave it on all the time, it only goes off if you get real close to something front or back anyway. As far as telling the difference front to back the aurion has a screen on the dash which changes to show which sensors are going off and how close each one is. I never noticed this at first!! That's gonna be your issue with the camry, getting a screen. The sensors sound the same front to back.

Sorry just to clarify, I have a 2009 model. Just noticed your question was to 2012 models specifically but I can't imagine the setup to be different.

  5. Hey so I got an answer from Toyota yesterday guys, apparently different waxes "sometimes" react with the chemicals in the paint protection and goes a milky white colour depending on what's in the wax. That's how they tell, nothing fancy lol. Kinda wishing I never got the paint protection HOWEVER...The paint does still look fantastic, maybe I'm expecting too much wanting more shine. I didn't know too much about proper waxing when I bought it hence the protection purchase....

  6. Thanks again Nix. As far as the "warranty" goes, ultimately they said with the paint protection on the car they will guarantee the colour and shine for life and respray at their cost if it doesn't live up to expectation. With it i do have some bottles of an applicant to be used every 6 months or so, just that they said wax could not be used on top of it or the "warranty" would be voided.

Anyway that's what they have told me, whether it's total crap is up for debate... I might try another dealership for more clarification.

On another note, those products you've recommended look pretty sweet!

So I'll get back to them again and see how I go.

    Cheers!!

  7. Thanks again, they both seem like good products. Do you know yourself though if there is any issues with applying these or other waxes to a car that has had paint protection applied? That was the main concern simply because toyota said it would void the paint protection warranty if I applied wax.

And it's tungsten colour. Love it under lights after a wash!! (well except for the prick who doored my car last night...)

  8. Thanks Nix.

Yeah it beads no problem, there is no issues with the paint protection or how it was applied. Was just seeing if I could get another level of shine on top on the paint protection. Or if paint protection and wax can't be applied together. I just don't have any knowledge in this area.

    Cheers again.

  9. DaveXR8,

I purchased the paint protection kit from Toyota back when I bought the car and was told I CANNOT use wax on the paintwork. In your line of work is this normal? They said if wax was used it would void the paint protection warranty but won't say exactly why. The condition of my paint is almost spotless but would love to bring it up to another level.

    Cheers

  10. Does anyone who has put HIDs in have an annoying amount of difference between left to right lights? I know the left is supposed to be a tad higher but this is really bugging me! I don't know if I should look into adjusting headlight angle, worried I might stuff it up completely...

  11. Hey there everyone, finally thought I'd start posting on here since I've been using the forums for support for ages now!

Loving my 2009 Aurion ZR6 and about a third way through doing the mods I have planned so far!

(That's a sure-fire way of ****** off your significant other!)

Cheers and now you'll start to see some of my ride!
