  1. Ok, so i have a 2008 Camry with just the standard single muffler, but i want to add a 2nd standard muffler to the left hand side, and then add some nice tips to both. The reason i want a standard one is to keep noise down so i dont get any excess noise overpowering my stereo. My main question is, Would standard Aurion mufflers fit? Or else, where could i get standard ones from?
  2. Do you still have the whine? If so, remove the seat bolt, and file (or sand) the face of the washer so the steel is exposed. This can help. Also make sure the RCA's arent running in parallel with the power cable at any stage. (ie, not cable tied together)
  3. This is a quick showing of what ive been up to for the past few months. Ive never done something of this magnitude. The most ive done is a single amp and sub. Gear: OEM headunit MS-8 Processor 2 X Alpine 4X125wrms (one each per side) HAT Legatia speakers (8",3",1") 1 X Alpine 1X600wrms sub amp 2 X JBL 15" Infinite Baffle Started by sealing up the service holes in the door with fibreglass panels and mounting the 8" midbass onto some baffles. The pillars were next. Lots of time was spent on these bogging and sanding. Plus i had to get them at the correct angles. I finished them in flocking. Its like suede but in powdered form. then onto the subs and amps... sealed up everything so the trunk is completly sealed off from the cabin. The idea behind infinite baffle is to create a sub enclosure inside the trunk. Its a lot harder than it sounds. But the sound quality is outstanding. added some led's for a nice glow As well as still have all my boot space, i can still get to the spare. The last thing i have to do is make a cover for the amps so you wont see them. Ive started it, but im redoing it slightly different. Sound wise....its amazing. The dashboard is alive with instruments and singers. The main singer is directly in front of you with guitarists and bassists flanking them, then back up singers further out. Close your eyes and the bass comes from around the windscreen wiper. If you ever get a chance to hear a sound quality (SQ) car, jump right in. And take a big wallet of your favourite cd's with ya. Thanks for looking.
  4. nah, pro job. Ive painted my own car before, but it pays to have good quality gear. So i will leave it to the pro's. Plus its all about the prep work. Paintings easy, its the stuff you do before the paint job that matters.
  5. Yeah, its done now, so i might as well get on with it. Im away at work for now, but first thing when i get back, will be paint shop, then carefully fit it on. Still a couple of weeks away....
  6. It definately isn't for performance. The ride is ok at the moment. I'm away at work for a couple of weeks, but when I get home I will keep making adjustments untill it rides firm but smooth. I'm not far off from getting a good ride. Still a little too bouncy in the back. I probably should've gone with 19's but I personally liked the look of 20's. Maybe I should've just kept it stock....
  7. The kit is really flexible. Do you have any issues with paint cracking on it?
  8. Kit finally arrived. The customs bastards stung me an extra $480. I couldnt believe it. I dont know why. Is it just because they are opening it up and checking it? Seems a bit harsh to me. Considering the cost of the kit, the cost of freight, and now this, It better bloody look good on. Well had the fender lip rolled. I stuffed up as i was heading there to have it done. When i backed outta my driveway, the guard scratched against the rim. Oh well, the damage doesnt look too bad. I had to remove the inner plastic guard in the rear also, as it was scraping on big bumps. Also raised it up a little, so i could run softer shocks setting. The price you pay to look good aye.
  9. Yeah I can't wait for it. The bc's were from eBay. I'm not sure they are real or not as they just have a sticker on them and some fancy brochures. Oh, and instructions that have been translated into English, word for word. Hmmm.
  10. The car? $16k with 34000 on the clock. WA is a bit pricier than over east, but it was the cheapest white one with low k's. I havnt driven it with the BC's yet, and prob wont untill i get the guards rolled as the rims touch them when i pull outta the drive way.
  11. This is my new project. So far this weekend, ive installed a set of BC coilovers and these rims. Vossen CV3 20x9 +38 all round. The fronts stick out a little bit and i need to lower it a bit more, and the rears fit nicely, but will prob add on some 5mm spacers, once ive lipped the guards. Still playing around with it. My RK sport body kit has just finished being made and should hopefully be here in a couple of weeks. That will make a huge difference to the look. In the mean time, its stereo install time. 8's are in the doors already, but need to sound deaden everything yet. Will start on custom a pillars this weekend too. The boot will be last. 2 x 15's mounted on an Infinite baffle. Then a false floor for the amps. Lots to keep me busy.
  12. With the way drivers "take off" from the lights here, i dont think i will have a problem keeping up. Thanks for reminding me to get a set of air horns though. I will check out the jap auctions, but im sensing i might find some crazy offsets. (i dont mind being a faker) Good from far, but far from good, is my motto.
  13. If i was worried about acceleration, i wouldnt have brought a camry. What do you mean by "fitment"......stretch? I can see where you are coming from in regards to inferior products, and working with such low profiles. But you would think that the american made stuff would be ok. I just came back from there, and some of there roads are crap. Theres no way i would own a stiffened car with big rims. And some of these guys are running +30 inch's !!!! I do understand the risks though, and its just one of those things i guess. If it becomes a major burden, i would look into 19's. Im based in Perth, so hopefully our roads are better than yours....i doubt it. Any other rims out there that would look good? Im allowing myself up to $3k with tyres. Obviously anything cheaper would be a bonus.
  14. Stance SC-5ive The 10's have a nice concave curve to them, the 9's are ok, but the 8's look like they might be a bit flat. So my main choice will prob be... MRR GT1. At least even 8's have a slight dish. But after checking, i found out that both rims dont come in 9.5, only 8.5, 9, 10. Im only looking on ebay at the mo.
  15. cheers guys. Your guys cars kept coming up in all the searches ive done, so knew you would know what your talking about. Now to decide between the final 2 wheel choices. Its a tough one...
  16. OK, go easy, im new Im just about to purchase a 2008 camry, and i will be fitting it out with BC coilovers. And also i will roll the guards as much as possible ( i hear the metal is quite soft) Im looking at a few rims from the states, but im unsure of what sizes i can go and what offsets i need to be looking at. For the front im looking at 20x8.5 with +35 offset (seems pretty standard from all the searching ive done) For the rears, can i fit 20x9.5 with the above mods, and what offset would i need. Or would i have to lip the guards a bit. I will stretch the tyres a litlle bit to help too. 235/30 on rears maybe?
