  1. Quick question in relation to this Head unit... With my car already having the reverse camera in it, and from what i've read, needing a voltage transformer to take the power from the unit from 12v to 6v... With this unit coming with options, is it possible to get it set up to plug and play into the existing camera? I was going to go with an Eonon unit before reading up on this, i do like the OEM look when it comes to this unit, and the larger screen also :D

Also, do we have to wait for another GB to get our hands on this? or can i go and see George in Brisbane and pick one up?

  2. As for the power fold mirrors, I was annoyed when my partner got her Corolla Ascent Hatch not long after I got my Aurion and it has the power-fold back mirrors, would love that option.

I have looked a bit into this for the Aurion as i was looking into getting them for mine too. After a few hours searching around online, i came up with nothing. It seems there's not many places that do these aftermarket, and none at all that i can see for the Aurion/Camry.

I hardly looked into the matter. Typed 'power mirror' into our forum search and:

    Folding Mirrors

With that information in mind, a quick Google search:

    TOYOTA camry/solara power-folding signal side mirror SAE/07~2010

Well then... My bad. It seems i need to stop doing my searches in stupid hours of the morning. -.-

Thanks for the correction DJKOR, seems this forum would fall to pieces without you lol *hi5*

  4. Why would you need variable HIDs?

Weird how anything with Japanese on it seem nice :D

Why would you do anything to a car that runs and looks perfect when you buy it?

    Because you can. :)

Way I figure it, is adjustable hid would serve to lessen the risk of being pulled over by cops if u were to set it low. Also saves money and time say If you bought 35w hid and later decided you wanted brighter. I dunno. I just want them for the pure novelty value :)

  5. I'll just put my .02 in here...

Had the 1st service done on my sportivo less than 6 months ago, and apparently theres a recall on one of the tail light fittings, as it didn't create a good enough seal. Mine was replaced when they did the service. Perhaps if you call your local Toyota service centre and find out if this is a problem with your model?

It may be a problem with 09 onwards, post-facelift...

  6. I have the old head unit from my SX6 (6 stacker) as I have replaced this with a different unit and want to put this into my wifes ATX (single disc). This should be as easy as a straight swap over but once these units are disconnected from the power do they require a pin code or something once reconnected?

I have recently replaced my stock (single disc) headunit in my 08 ATX with a 6 stacker.

It was as easy as plug n play. shouldnt take you more then 10 mins. I dont believe there are any codes or security features on the units...

mabe one of the Mods can confrim? huh.gif

There is an option on the 6 stacker to put a code on it, however it isn't set from stock. This merely asks for the code if power source is interrupted, so if stolen, it can't be used in another car without the code. (Doesn't stop someone stealing it in the first place though <_< which kinda defeats the purpose...

Not sure if its too late for you, but perhaps this may help someone else that reads this in the future...

  7. Thought i'd drop a comment in here and let you guys know i DO plan to come to a meet, but probably not this week, as i've got brain damage to induce on myself tomorrow on the Gold Coast...

Not much to show off as my car is completely stock for now, but will definitely come down in the next few weeks (work permitting) and check it out

Assuming the meet still happens in the places stated at the beginning of the thread?

  8. After extensively searching throught the forums both manually and via search, I have not been able to come across what i need.

I have the Sx6 so do not have the Smart entry/push button start in the car, however, would like to get it installed.

Does anyone know how much Toyota would charge to do it with genuine parts through a service centre?

Also, if i install an aftermarket one, what can i expect in the way of warranties being voided etc.

http://www.advancedk...rod_AK104B.html (this is the best i have found, comes with Toyota/lexus push start button so it looks OEM.)

what can i expect in the way of warranties being voided etc.

EDIT: And also, any reccomendations of Auto electricians to install the system once i get it. (Brisbane area)

  9. get the intake, very easy to install and sounds great.

So i can get the nice sound without having to install an exhaust system? (which i intend to do in the future anyway) But if theres a cheaper easier option in the meanwhile, i'll take it...

    Wheel Brand/Design: XHP

    Wheel size: 20 inch

    Wheel width: 8.5

Wheel offset: <eg. +45, +35 mm etc> Unsure at this stage

Tyre size: Front and Rear indentical 235/35/R20

Tyre Brand : Nankang Ultra Sport (very noisey, Increased cabin noise by about 50%)

Suspension type: Standard SX6 09 Upgrade

Feedback: Only fitted them on Tuesday , No problems as yet

Bought Them From Bob Jane Bankstown

Also looking around for 09 upgrade SX6 wheels and Tyres, The ones i traded in were sold a bit 2 quick .

May be bringing up old issues, but just curious as to how your wheels have performed?

I'm assuming you had no problems fitting 20" to the sportivo? No rubbing etc? Did you have to mod anything to fit the rims?

  11. I know this may seem a silly question but i am quite a noob when it comes to mechanical ANYTHING on a car outside of basic DIY servicing. BUT, the question, nonetheless, Do you get the nice sound from just installing a K&N Typhoon or is it in lieu of an upgraded exhaust also?

The sound from the sportivo IMO i've always thought would be nice and grunty if upgraded properly... but like i said, very new to this.

  12. Gday all,

I'm the proud owner of a 09 Upgrade 'Reef' edition Aurion Sportivo.

Always on the lookout for things i can tinker with, eventually wanting to mod the exterior once i can afford to.

Have had a look through the forums, and thought i may benefit from joining up.

    Jimmy
