  2. Hi guys,

For those who are interested This is an update.

Like i said, I purchased all the bits and pieces TRD468 mentioned from JayCar.

Assembled the unit together, added an RCA female input on the box and it looks like this.

You'll need an RCA connector for the iphone. It will simply plug in to the RCA connector i added previously.

Then i forgot TRD468 said the headunit input is NTSC so i had to purchase one of these PAL to NTSC converters.

    And finally. It was done.

    So happy with the outcome.

This would not of been possible without TRD468 information so, Thanks again TRD468!

  3. This great.

I've always wanted a way to connect my iPad or iPhone device to watch movies or youtube on the factory head-unit screen and this looks like it'll work.

With-in the next few week i'll be looking forward to trying this.

Just purchased the relay and all the other thing from JayCar today.

    Wish me luck!

    And thanks for sharing TRD468.

  4. Prices are high aye.

I tried getting trade prices juat about every where and nothing under $20 from any stores.

So i asked my parts counter to quote me some AC Delco plugs and got some dual platinum plugs for $5.50 each.

It was worth a try so i nstaled them last week and the car feels and drives great.

  5. I wish there was a module for this.

I wonder if there's any other way for achieving this same goal?

    Anyone tried doing this?

This might actually work. It would be nice to have a DVD in the vehicle.

I thought maybe to purchase a stand alone DVD player, install it in the glove box, tap-into the reverse camera input (V- & V+ input), install a switch to act as a reverse power to activate the screen to accept visual signal from the DVD and I,m now wondering how about sound input? Maybe I could run sound via the GTA system I installed earlier to play AUX Input. Would anyone else know another way to cover the sound?

    GTA ( http://www.gtacarkits.com/toyota_camry_2007_2011_car_kit.php )

    Hope ya'll can help

  7. Hey dude. I forgot what's its called but I think the phone holds your contacts in some type of format that the radio can't read.

I had the same issue with my iphone transferring contacts to the HU. Luckily I also use a Blackberry & that works to transfer my contacts.

But my phone never disconnected aye. Might be a different issue

  8. $200 Ouch, normally most people in your situation I would return and tell the repairer that his diagnosis was wrong refund or fix. Sadly his got your money and you still have the problem.

I advise my mates to return to the dealer for most electronic issues, scared for problems like this happening.

Dash rattle fix is expensive aye, like about $400-$500 I assume.

I used to do it in like 4 hours with-out short cuts.

The clips don't break, they need added felt for the clip and applying foam to the top fire-wall where the dash touches it.

Speaking of witch, I think my Aurion needs the dash rattle fix too.

  9. Hey mate,

Thats wierd aye? I changed mine without any problems. I noticed that these led bulbs dont have a secure terminal, make sure there centered before entering it. Ooh dont forget that these are diods so if it dont work the first time its because you may need to spin the led bulb so its - + is the right way ;)

    Good luck bro.

  10. Hi guys,

Yeah i had this problem too.

Toyota did somthing wrong and forgot to put hose clamps for the drain pipes.

What ya need to do is re-attach the hose and add a clamp. The early model Aurions had this problem. Toyota knows about this problem so you can buy clamps from them if ya want.

To fix it you should remove the sunvisors, remove both the left & right "A" piller trims, both front roof handles, remove the roof linning garnish thats around the sunroof, then pull the roof linning down just a little to access the hoses, there's 4 in tottal, the main problem ones are the front ones. Before attaching them i pull them out just a little because when ut gets hot the hose shrinks and pulls it self out again. After this your good to re-attach the hose and put the roof back together again.

    Hope this helps ya'll.

    Regards Boondy :)
