  1. hi luke thanks for the info. The quote includes strip down to pull out pump refurbishing my pump and re installing the pump. I was recommended to do the injectors as well and re do the "whole fuel system". Im tempted to do this...to keep her running properly. Its interesting your comment on better fuel economy as I already get 600km round town out of a tank which is brilliant.Better is welcome of course. Incidently is the pump pull/install out a bugger of a job? Im up for it to save some cash better in my pocket then a grease monkeys :-) all respects of course. cheers
  2. hello everyone, great to find the forum and hopefully some great advice. I have recently bought a 1994 2.8D hilux twin cab . Runs great and use it to get to and from site. Recently it has developed a rather alarming leak from the diesel pump and it needs to be repaired more or less immediately. I have had a good look at it today to see if I could do anything about it. I have also taken it to a diesel specialist and they estimate that it could cost up to $2500 which was quite a shock to say the least. I am based in Fairfield in sydneys west and I need a good diesel mechanic that a few people could recommend to do the job?? all thoughts welcome thanks.
