its just the photo ey.. BTW i thought i saw your car at aqua golf the other night, although i rembered you had the s1 front bar!
-
hey, it all varies on the internal condition of your engine.
At our workshop we would recommend 15/40 "Castrol Protec GTX" :D
based on the age of the car 5/30 would be to thin..
-
just do a tune up.. replace the spark plugs and filters. ie fuel filter.. clean your throttle body.
check you timing.. all basic stuff mate!
-
hey man, cheers for the guide.. i was thinking it was done along those lines :D
nah my ones aren't black.. maybe just in the photo ey!
-
hey matt did you do the blacken headlight mod? if so how hard was it?

-wipe the the plastic material clean from any grease or dirt.
-place tailights side by side (makes it look even)
-start off with slight mist and light layer ( allow 10-15mins drying)
-spray until you've reached the look you want.
- allow to dry overnight in a dust free environment.
on a cold day place the spray can in some warm water, then shake for 1min or more.. shake can in between coats.
i read the instruction on the can and realised that you can turn the spray nozzle a few times to make the material come out abit less or more,so did my mates side indicators and it turn out how we wanted it.
also followed your instructions. thanks hi rolla :D
Your welcome dude! I'm glad it turn out the way you want! :D

if the car stalls, it should give a diagnostic code.. get your local mechanic to scan for codes. possible fuel or a sensor problem.

A quick search of the forums netted me this exact same problem i'm experiencing now. My only difference from tiet is that I haven't got any clicking/knocking sound, and this issue has surfaced out of the blue, I haven't hit anything or run over anything.
Has anyone confirmed a solution?
EDIT: and also, is it safe to drive in the meantime?
ok so i drive the 2003 corolla sportivo, these are the issues the ABS Light and Handbrake light stay lit even with the handbrake down while moving, im getting a really loud clicking/clonging sound from the rear left wheel, i did a search and i found one post where people said with the ABS light my brakes need to be machined but because of the extra problems with the handbrake light and the sounds im going to asume its more than that...
@ImPulse,i work as a mechanic and have had to customers with the "ticking noise" ended up being in the gearbox.. the differential to be exact. best to get a local mechanic to check it out.
-
dude sounds to me you've got a Wheel bearing noise.. you'll need a bearing kit and a hub ( pretty sure hubs only come Gen.)
and that ABS light is being triggered, probs best to carry out a diagnostics scan. where are you from?
-
its a 14mm nut.
Either shorten or lengthen clutch point.
-
hey dude I've got one too!
-
Hey mate,
pretty sure the 120K service. involves Oil, Oilfilter, Brake Fluid Flush and Airfilter element.
I'd double check that the spark plugs were changed @ 100K, also check the gear box oil condition
and finally just check the exterior parts ie lights, w/blades and tyres.
Goodluck with the Tivo!
