Yeah it was along time ago, and i gave it to my mum. A few changes, there is somthing wrong with the gear box, it keeps loading up the engine so it always pings no matter how much you d tune it. Also since my mum has had it 11 months... she has not changed any fluid, oil... Etc. however before i got rid of it i put a new timing belt new water pump. So if you really want it ill give you her phone number and you can give her a call, however i wouldnt pay more than $500 for it and she wont sell it for that. if you need a cheap car i have an Alfa Romeo for sale. its in the process of being fixed up but not a whole lot has happened as of yet. same problem with a 4th gen celica, and my new corolla. easyest way, instead of working out where the squeak comes from just take the whole intrior out, clean every peice individually, and screw it all back together... this gets rid of every noise, makes the car look better, as well as giving you a better knoledge of the insides of the car. complentary tasks are wireing all your stero stuuf propperly, high pressure spraying your seats as well as carpet, cleaning the floor pan, checking the floor pan for rust, adding a special layer of sound proffing, lighten the car by removing body deadner, respray the seat sliders, and hook up fancy lights. i have an account with the people who make the bars for the police cars, so .....you can wire one of those up, i told them not to tell me. Maybe its after market, I think they did release a convertible celica gen 5 in but i dont think it was GT4 and it might not have been in Australia. In Byron Bay its not uncommon to see cars that have been converted to convertible :D. Since its hot and humid all year round and since its a beach town where people like to show off.... Anywyas the one i have seen has GT4 badges and a convertible top and its gorjus, theres also a Gen 4 thats black, convetible with no badges and gold wheels its nice as well....

Thanks for replying :D. i dont think ill turbo it 1. had a look at the engin mapping and the turbo would be hanging off the front and really obious if you poped the bonnet. 2. the best part about the turbo is the blow off sound which i cant have if im trying to be inconspicious 3. There is a risk that the engin might go pear shaped on me since it seams a little big, and i dont know how second hand this turbo is. 4. ill lose my licence if im caught 5. if i plan on keeping the car i may as well do it properly and dump a 3S-GTE in :D Love

firstly i am a NSW p Plater so i cant really drive turbos anyway. but there are ways to make un obious. but how much dose a 3sgte set ya back?

I want to turbo a 5S-FE there is one mate who says great idea perfect size turbo, another says it will blow the engin becuase it will over grunt it! I need advive before the end of the week preferably. its an after market turbo that was on a commodoor vk i think. Its says RAJAY on the side, the intake is like a doble fan thingo, the exhaust is reabalanced, its cleanish and weights about ten kgs. there is also an insription that says H PAT. NO 5 3010597. 30403636 3941437.3969804 and on the clap that holds it together there is VOSS No.. TC189-15 Please i need a response Love

I have a st 162, sedan, its a 45+ offset. If the subaru wheels are as good quality as the rest of a subaru i wouldnt be putting them on a toyota

like the title says.. a gold celica gt4 185? I have seen one that was gold GT4 1993, but it was convertable. It has been cruising around the byron bay area for a number of weeks. hope this helps sorta:D

hmmmm Perhaps, but if you can find grand turis mode with a 1.9 liter citroen bx and a 1986 st162 i wanna see it. the cars i have done that in are my daily drivers :D

i can get my bx citroen up to the 210 mark and my 1986 toyota celica to about 230 with a tail wind :D so a corolla should be able to out top speed 2 20 year old cars, i dont care which manufacturer it is lol.

hmm yes you must of forgot that part :D Well how much would you like for it, very limited budget becuase no one wants to buy either or my current cars :( but we will see what we can do :)

My mistake i didnt look at the dates *doh* But a celica for free i live at ballina more commonly know as 10 kms south of byron bay lol. so is it worth transporting it here? other than that what kind is it, i dont see a problem taking it off your hands! :) I had a look in your garage thingomobob, nice rolla ill take that off ya hands as well if ya want :P

what knid of celica do you have? im trying to sell mine but its not smashed, and perhaps i might sweeten the deal for someone if i say lots of things have been reaplaced:D lol

exhaust and sound are good. one thing i noticed about the st 162 is the grea box and engin combo arent designed to do anything in a real hurry. if you were willing to spend the dollars i would get a head overhaul, new pistons new conrods, cams should never break in a car so i dont see a need for changeing it unless the new conrods and stuff requier it, if you were felling reall industrious you could perchase the 4wd kit which comes with thw funky gear box as well. or you could rob a musem and get the origional st165 rally one :D. Another mod that is alot cheaper and less time consumeing is to change the air in take make it bigger make it in front of the grill so it gets some kind of raming going, air filter might actually be used then :D.A new more grunty fule pump, makes a huge difference tried it on my one but only for a week becuase the origional one died and the fule distributor went with it , so a mate gave me his citroen one straps rigt in the boot, only becuase i could only aford the fule distributor at the time , little bastards are 300 buck. so far all i have talked abut is the expensive engin side of things. i persoanlly like the look of the car from the out side especially when you still have the body kit and stuff, i would take the mud flaps off, i recon it looks heaps better without them and the stupid screws rust and take the pannel with it, from memory its a 13 mm socket :D. the rest of the stuff like the interior is just a matter of replaceing the origional gear or repairing the origional stuff, i would be trying to make it look gangsta before i made it fast

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I like i would go 5 grand, you cant go wrong with 5 grand, if he is letting you use it when it gets here, why dont you see if you like it first, they arnt the best handleing of cars but if tuned right they will beat most 6 banga commodoors up to about 96, and 4wd capabilities sounds like fun as well :D. when you live in a beach town all you want is a small 4wd so thats almost ideal cept for the ground clearence issue. one thing i helped do to a celica for a friend was take out all the body deadener and spray every pannel with the spray on stuff, lightens it by somthing like 60 kgs. make good drift cars as well becuase they are very predictable.
