  1. aint that easy to also simply "turn up the boost" for turbo ...... u cant go to far or u might find ur gonna need a new engine ...... i think purpose built bang for ur buck with a kit like this or any of the other charger kits u cant go wrong if ur not gonna spend the cash in r&d to do something different.

I understand this, seeing as if it was so easy you'd be running 40psi haha..I know a motor can only handle so much.. But what i meant in that way is like how you have your boost set and then the button that ups the boost..

I suppose it all does come down to money and time

  2. If i had money, i'd love something like this!

Although, my only problem is, with supercharging, what is there to really upgrade to?

I.e with turbo you can up the boost easily, put a bigger turbo on ect..

But with a supercharger, change the pulleys or whatever?

But then i suppose cost comes into it too.. $3,000US for a supercharger kit, probably spend all up $5,000 max getting it all running nicely... With turbo, going from what you've been doing bill it doesn't like like its been cheap :P

  3. hmmm, now if only i can get a helmet before then! I will try and borrow a mates..

I've been very keen to hit the drag strip for a while now..Would be a great opportunity to get some racing tips from other sportivo drivers too, seeing as i've never been down the strip before!!!

Also very keen to see your car in action Bill!

  4. Quick question -

I don't think any recalls have been done on my car, cause i can't find a sticker.. And my car is now 4-5 years old and out of warranty..

If i go to toyota and request the recall be done to my car, are they going to try charge me for it as i'm out of warranty? or what?

    Cheers Guys

  5. as above, its not going to be worth it as a first car!

The GT models are all turbo i believe..

You should be looking for an AE82-AE9* corolla hatchback, great first car, very reliable if looked after! and cheap too!

  6. Yes the above are leaf springs - lowering blocks are used on them.

I wouldn't even bother using "spring locks" or whatever it is... If you have a crash, good luck!

It doesn't cost too much to get your car lowered.. Do it right, do it once..
