I had thought about buying that engine but the work had already started, pitty it wasn't posted earlier

im up to $4500 for repairs so far the engine was put back in today and apparently there's a horrible noise coming from it or the gear box so they have to investigate that now. Im glad the overtime has started back up at work.

whoa, what happened?

quick version: at high speed the oil pump blew, sent a chunk of metal up with the timing chain. Timing chain missed a cog, valves smashed into pistons, valves bent and one piston dinted. :( just before xmas so i got it to the grease monkeys but they didnt get a look at it till they got back from their brake,(as it was their last week and flat out) when they ordered the parts they were on back order.they had all the parts last week, but need to put it all back together, so im still waiting, :( hopfully this week i'll have it back for the ferry cruise. :D

ive ordered the xforce s10 twinloop in the group buy and now have received an email saying the 2.25inlet is not available, only the 2.5. my question is, is the 2.5 too big? will i loose low end power with a catback system? the xforce guys said it'll just be louder, another mate have told me the 2.5 is too big and he has lost low end power... wat do you guys suggest?

2.5'' would be to big for a 1zz but a 2zz should be fine

Yea reason i'm gettin it done pro is because last time i did a custom job on my eyelids, it freakin sucked, after several hours and 35 bucks worth of cans of spray paint, time and money gone by.

I ended up gettin em done pro for 45bucks!!

I don't think i suck at spray painting and reckon i do a pretty decent job, Bigbum can quote me on that! , but its more for the convenience factor and saving me the run-around :)

Spray tint is crap, Looks tacky, dosent feel smooth!

Depends on how good at it you are and how much patience you have. If your calm and take your time, and do it properley, then there is no reason why it should be crap....

my mate tried the tint can on his ford tail lights, and it looked ok till he got them on and turned the lights on.

then they looked really sh!t.

i buy the energy saving light bulbs, but more for the reason off there long life.

i hate changing bulbs especially the ones above the staircase, i need to get the ladder out for them, its very annoying <_<

i was wondering if anyone could reccomend any places that are reasonably priced for vinyl or leather ineteior..coz i have no idea of any...

..and places for hollander 300 sunroof with the car interior sunshade cover...autosun and air sell it for $1750 but im sure there are places out there that are cheaper than that - that i dont know of!

and also my rear skirt...its stuck on with silicone....what do i have to do/use to take if off?

Thats not such a bad price for the sun roof if that includes fitting. my girl was quoted 2050 for the 700 version fitted. as for interior im from melb so i cant help there. and for the siliconed rear skirt, id leave that to the body shop

That's a really good prices for the 700. I've been quoted many prices between $2200 and $3000.

The 300 I've been quoted $1200 for the grey interior trim or $1500 for the matching one.

I know you're in Syd, but some rough idea of prices for you to keep in mind.

That price was from prestige sunroofs for the 700 hollandia. i wonder how much they would come down from $2050 for a group buy?
