  1. Heya Okay, don't worry about it - worked it out;- missed 2 screws from below holding it down. Sweet - the new deck works great! PBear
  2. Hi all I've a 1994 Tarago GLi which I want to replace the tape/radio unit with a Kenwood MP333 CD player. Read through a couple of threads on how to remove the plastic surround on the existing unit, but no luck. I opened up the fusebox lid, unscrewed two screws which looked like they held the plastic surround in place, and then tried to pull back on it. Yup, there is something else holding it back as it is seemingly held firm on the bottom edge of that surround. Did I miss any screws anywhere as I didn't want to pull too hard on it and break anything being a rather thin curve of surround? Advice from anyone whose actually done this before on this model would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, when I bought the car, there's also a rather thick cable coming out from the carpet floor, somewhere to the right of the middle bench behind the driver's, (extending about a metre long) it terminates with a round (short cylinder round) black connector with quite a few pins on it. The dealer didn't have a clue what it was when it was originally traded in. The other end is obviously 'connected' to something up in front from under the carpet - anyone with any ideas? No, its not the towbar lights as they still work. Some 'offical' Toyota accessory perhaps? Regards P.Bear
