Hi all Just got a new 2013 Ultima with optional rear view camera added - I found that the rear entertainment system works ok with the supplied wireless headphones but it does not play sound through the car speakers - have tried switching sound output using the speaker button on the remote control as recommended in the manual but nothing happens - also the digital panel control panel in the dashboard does not seem to recognise the rear entertainment system - the "disc" option is greyed out and cannot be accessed - I went back to the dealer who said that he thought that this was normal and that the rear entertainment system could not output sound to the car speakers - but i showed him the manual which says it can - he said that the manual was not designed for Australia and it may be that it is not legal for the rear entertainment system to output to the speakers in Australia - he recommended that I leave it until the 1 month service check at which stage he would ask the service guys to look into this more for me - any advice about whats going on and what i should do - is it ok to wait until the 1 month service check or will i lose some right of legal comeback to get things fixed if I wait that long? - should it be working as in the manual? - could the installation of the rear view camera have something to do with it?
