Guess I will have to find out what my real speed is and put some marks on the speedo glass.
-
It is built in to stop you from speeding if it is reading higher than your actual speed. Most manufacturers implement it these days.
To be that far out that's allot could understand 1 or 2 but almost 8k's out seems over the top.

Hi guys,
Since purchasing my 09 Kluger I have noticed that my speedo is out almost 6 to 8 k's out allot.
I have the standard rims and tyres so what is causing this ? a faulty sensor ?
-
Stalk is now installed and all is working great the relay was not needed as it must already be there.

Hi all,
Rang Peter Warren. They said to bring it in for a free test drive and they could probably get Toyota to
pay for half the repair cost. Rang Sydney City Toyota. They want $140 to assess the problem, but my
chances of getting the repairs covered by Toyota are unknown.
Took the car to my mechanic first, but the clunk did not appear, as expected, as the clunk doesn't happen
too frequently. They lifted the car, inspected everything underneath, but no problems were evident.
Since taking the car to my mechanic, the car barely ever makes the clunk now! The steering mechanism
must have "stretched" while being lifted on the hoist at the mechanic's.
We'll see how it goes.
This happened on my Camry Sportivo it was lifted on a hoist looked around checked bolts were tight etc put down drove around all week and never heard or felt it again.

I picked up a stalk from a Toyota wrecker in Melbourne today plus a fog light relay.
The stalk was out of a 2013 model kluger but this one has two fog light symbols one clearly for turning on the fogs but the other at the top just flicks what is that used for ?
I was told I will not require the auto light sensor.

If you were to buy one, buy it from a reputable 4x4 accessories dealer. Some are just smoke and mirrors.
Not something I would buy from an ebay store like you said a 4x4 store but some of them can sell crap sometimes.
Thing is thou do they really work ?

Just found it for you follow the link :-

Thanks Trent, just sent him a PM.

Interested in the TOC Supporter but all your links are dead ?

Hi,
The full wiring is there, but you do need to order the factory stalk with fog light switch for it to work (try and source one from a wreck maybe??).
It is just a matter of removing the plastic blanks where the fogs are meant to be, and reaching up you will find the wiring taped there. Plug the fog lights in, fit the new stalk and fitted just like factory.
That all sounds great will track down another stalk with fog option.
Do you know if the wiring is also there for the Auto lights option as well ?

Hey mate nice looking car. Thats a very nice head unit was there a nice difference between the stock unit and the new alpine? Was the sound quality different?
Im asking cause im looking at getting a head unit for the bluetooth and hands free.
Sound quality was better from this head unit only because you had more control over the sound then the stock unit.
I will have to get a new facia and you need to be careful with this when installing as there all plastic but once you have it in right and take your time all should be good. And don't forget to get the steering wheel control kit it's all plug and play.
-
It's illegal to have them on without atleast having the parkers on.
One of the reasons why I would like to have them set up like the factory install like in my Camry Sportivo.
-
Hi guys,
I ordered a set of fog lights for my Kluger 09 but I wanted to know if the wiring is there for the factory fitted ones to the stalk inside the kluger ?
Would rather have it set up this way then an extra switch on the dash and accidentally leaving them on in the car park.
-
I know this old but I am shocked there's been no answer so the answer to your question is no they were installed in the roof panel on the rear if it had this option.
-
It's better then opening another thread on the same subject. ;)
I have the same issue my Kluger was also advertised with speed alert and it's a 2009 model yet no mention in the manual on how to set it ? it's also in every subject matter on the specs of this model as standard.
Sucks not having it cause my Kluger is easy to go over the limit :o
-
Congratulations it looks great ! , you will really enjoy driving this :)
Yep so far no issues no knocks or rattles plenty of power smooth ride I'm one happy chappy
Now I just need to get a few things for protection.

I had opened a thread in the right place but when I went to look via the instant email I received to a reply I had I found it was all gone ?
Why was it removed ?
It was in the right forum under Kluger asking for pre-purchase tips before I brought my new Kluger. ?
Side Steps For Kluger 09
in Kluger Club
Posted
Trying to find a good pair of side steps that are really strong and can really take your weight and don't use the sills as a mounting point as i have been told it's a very very weak point on the klugers and people put splits into the sills or rip the mounting bolts through the sills.
