  1. rim repairing is good especially if they are factory rims or can't get replacements .. i got 2 buckled/cracked rims repaired good as new for $160 the were chrome 17inch ANZ discontinued rims .... but most alloy i think is about $50 per wheel for re-rolling ... i got mine done in melbourne so dunno about sydney ....

depending if you can find 2 new rims to match. damaged rims still sell for good price on ebay because they are easy to get repaired ....

    Can't hurt to get a quote ....

  2. Why spend the money converting to auto? Just buy a Volvo :toast:

    or a commodore/falcon

    Commodore/falcon ???

Yeah agree , just trade you rolla in for an auto ....

older car like a .... commodore/falcon its worth converting them to manual because they are rare to find from factory in manual because if you have a manual commodore you don't sell it ...

Thousands of Auto corolla's around ....

  3. If you happen to have a PSP, it'll only cost you another $40 for a GSP antenna, Software are free online ;)

I got 02 XDA IIS and nicely found software for it ...including Homer Simpson GPS Voice . get my updated GPS reciever tomorrow ....32 channels/bluetooth ..... Uhhgggghhhh !!!

  4. did you pinch the o-ring when installing the pump or regulator?

    Does it kick at all?

Can take a bit of cranking to get it going intially.

    Install all went fine ...

Doesn't try to kick over .. might crank it for a bit longer ...

the only thing i can think of that petrol went overywhere when i dismanteled the original you reckon wet wires ?

Fuel gauge works and reads correct ..

  5. what is the best and biggest set of wheels and tires to fit to my 07 zze122r corolla sedan, i cant seem to find any aftermarket parts for this car anyone know where to get a range of parts from

the new corolla can come fitted with either Kappa or Vortex alloy wheels 17x7 so couldnt it be fitted with 19s?

Well with alittle modification to your guards, you can fit 20's...i did 20x8.5....

Also for a new corolla, because they are 5 stud, it is easy to find nicer wheels..

Sexc_rolla .... what tyre size you running because i can't see how 8.5 rims fit on a corolla without serious modding to the suspenion .... or MASSIVE wheel spacers and did you get them engineered ? how much that cost ?

  6. When it rims put what ever you like on .. check with your insurance first ...

And when it come's to roadworthy if your TYRE PLACARD says 15inch wheels

" Vicroads ...... In the case of a passenger car, the rim width must not exceed by more than 25 mm the widest rim available for. the particular model from the vehicle manufacturer unless an engineers report is supplied for that modification"

This means if your car says 16x6.5 then you can go 17x7.5 or 18x7.5 .... not any higher ...

    If it says 15x6 or 15.6.5 you can't go higher that 16x7 , 17x7.5 or 17x7

You can order a new tyre placard for you car ...

Car owners have been targeted for this lately in northern suburbs melbourne by police

This is pretty much same across all states now . maybe some variations .... so 17x7 is best size with a tyre to match aswell .... 88v rating and above on a zze122r .. sportivo is different i think as they have 16jj rims size as factory...

New corolla has option of 17's so you can go one inch wider legally ...

trust me i have been checked and warned by police ... cause i am over 25 my insurance doesn't care ...

But half the mods people do are not roadworthy so whats it matter ....just don't get caught

I have 17x7 with 215 tyres ... on a sedan ... nice fit on king lows

  7. thats cool no offense to any sportivo owners ... cause i happen to think 98 % factory released hatch's are ugly aswell New corolla included ....

Hot sedan's ..... BMW .. Merc .....even their hatch's look crap

I see more old people driving round in a hatchback than sedan .....

  8. Well like toyota ,subaru have forgotten about sedan owners .... Old WRX sedan looks alot hotter than hatch ...

    Bye bye sedan's ....

ohh well next people will tell me Lancer EVO are only in hatch aswell

Come on toyota ... i want lexus power in a corolla sedan ....

  9. I have today witnessed a very ugly car .. the new Subaru WRX hatch .... looks like a mazda 323 had realtions with a toyota prius....

    terrible ....

That side on pic below is better than the one i saw on the road with LED tail lights .. could also be ford focus been stepped on....

Toyota japan has applied to purchase 51% of subaru and has been given permission by japanese gov .. but not gone ahead yet .. article i found few months ago

  10. ----------------

I would go with Tomtom or Navman. Tomtom is better in my opinion. Also try get a system with "Traffic info" (they information is not available in Australia, but it will around December for Brisbane Area (if i'm not wrong) & hopefully by next year, it will be available all over Australia)

Currently i'm using my Nokia N73 for my GPS (Tomtom software). It is very handy and also the bluetooth GPS receiver lasts over 23hrs.

I have a O2 IIs and a bluetooth receiver but can't find software .... where did you get it ?

  11. found this in another thread... the toyota part numbers for those spacer/ear thingys that go along either side of the stereo to fill the extra space.

    $7.50 each apparently...

    86221-52050 LH Side

    86221-52060 RH Side

gona get a pair of these myself when i get the time

Check around because those 2 side peices cost $40.00 i can't find a toyota dealer that sells them for 7.50 ...

If its a ZZe122 2001 corolla then you can use those side peices to fill gaps just search around . maybe car audio stores

    like below ...
