  1. Hello All, I need some help with identfiying if the Toyota branded dealership did a dodgy on me with my reversing camera installation. There was a massive stuff around with incorrectly ordered parts and what I suspect was a lack of workman skill to perform the job, leading me to be given a loan car for a couple days. The end result was the attached, a dodgy circular hole, a camera barely protruding that films the internal body work occasionally and a weirdly angled camera. Additionally I thought the genuine Toyota Reversing Camera was supposed to have an on screen overlay of "lines" to indicate distance. I think they really dodgied up my installation and still charged me full price, but I am no expert which is why I have come to here to ask all of you for your opinion please :) Attached are some pictures. The install was performed by Toyota Motorama at Moorooka, Brisbane QLD Australia. Thank you! Xavier.
  2. Hi Beejayy, Here is what I think you should do. 1) Go buy a 4gb SD card. Any type should be OK just make sure it's a full sized SD card and not a micro or whatever (unless it has an adapter). 2) Download Win32 Disk Imager (Link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/) Install this as you will need to use this to make an image file of someone else's SD card. 3) Find someone in VIC with the same model RAV as you (any donors on here?), pay them a fine of a carton of beer of their choice, eject their SD card, insert into your laptop sd reader. 4) create an Image file of their SD card using the application in step 2 5) Eject the dolor SD card, insert your new one, select the image file created in step 4 and select write to SD card. 6) Eject the recipient SD card insert into your RAV and enjoy! Maybe also upload the SD card to the cloud for others to enjoy and post the link here? I will ask around as well, maybe we can get lucky To all those on the board here, if you are in Vic and live near Beejayy, this will take approx 15 minutes of your life :D Thanks, Xavier.
  3. Hello All, Rav4 2011 Cruiser; I want to have a Anderson plug at the towbar for power when on accessories. I am pretty handy and I have enough confidence to get the cabling in etc... However I am unsure of where I connect to the accessories line in the engine area. If anyone can give me any guidance (I will take on any info and tips you want to share) that would be fantastic. The line would mostly be running an array of LEDs and I would need to fuse it I guess too, just a standard inline fuse (like what you would do for a subwoofer?) Thanks,!
  4. Hi All, I have been trying to chase down some good quality canvas seat covers (front and rear) for my Rav4. Has anyone seen or do you know of anything around that is worth looking at? Thanks!
  5. Hey Everyone, great to be here. I finally joined the Toyota club with a recent purchase of a Toyota RAV4 2011 Cruiser. I simply could not be happier! Coming from a Ford History BA, AU, EA... etc, its a very welcome change. I will be taking the Rav (Who we have nick named "Big Hero 4" haha, who's obviously a white car) out on it's first adventure in Nov, a round trip to Alice via the Oodnadatta Track on the way and Mt Isa on the way back. I'll be doing a mix of roadside camping in the back and a few camp sites in the swag, It's going to be a ripper of a trip! Anyway it's great to be here and I look forward to chatting with you all soon! Xavier.
