  1. Hi guys, My hiace's service manual is missing. It's coming towards its 60,000km service and would like to know where I could find a brand new service book to buy. My toyota dealership told me that they no longer sell them and there are none on ebay. any ideas?? Cheers, Buri,
  2. glad your dads ok. My dad? lol lol wasnt it ur dad that had the accident? or was it ur dads car?
  3. let me tell you, after 15000km service, you will feel slightly more power. the car feels way smoother and faster.
  4. unlucky!! glad no one was hurt. i had a similar experience back in 2005. returning to melbourne from goldcoast, i turned a corner during daydriving at 140kmh having a laugh with mates and what do i see last second? lol a kangaroo, dead lying in the middle of the road with its as5 up. no chance of me swerving around it as it was a single lane road and didnt want to risk no ones life so i slammed the breaks, got back on the gas to get the cars front lip back up and went over it without damaging the car. let me mind you, the car was a 325ci sport and we all know how low those things are and i was amazed i didnt damage the car at all. i looked at my rear view mirror, and saw the whole thing rip into pieces. meat stuck underneath the car ofcourse and i dont want to even think of how bad that smell was, imagine marinated bbq meat smell mixed with bloody furr. eww :) we drove with the windows down for 2 hours because we couldnt take the smell at 38 degree weather, till i puled over at a petrol station to wash the underneath of the car to get rid of the smell. luckily we got rid of the smell and thanked *** for not making the scene worse. again, glad your dads ok. Buri,
  5. too many to list but my favourites were 355 f1 spider, porsche turbo 996 , e36 m3 and e46 m3. personal best is 260kms in Austria in an e36 m3. personal best in australia is 250kmh.
  6. hmm... I too don't usually consider refilling until I get to the 0 kms cruise range left. I too learned that there's usually at least 10L left at that point. Regarding any engine problems, Toyota warranty will cover that won't they ? After all, they can't tell me that it's because of my refilling patterns and thereby not a warranty item ? If that was the case, they'd make that disclaimer in the owners/warranty manual ? Perhaps that's a little too naive... :) Come to think of it, they could just say that there was water in your fuel which becomes your problem straight away if there are any fuel impurities. You won't get anywhere saying that it's due to condensation which their design didn't "cater" for, they could debate that and say that condensation is insignificant and not the likely source. That would leave you in a pickle... its not good for a new engine to run on low all the time but im an owner where i dont like to refuel till i get the most of my tank :) i know from experience that the car will go for about 60 - 80kms or a bit more after the fuel gauge hits the very last line. which most of you will probably panic as you will think that your about to run out of fuel but its a safety system the car will have a bit more fuel in the tank for emergency driving and that fuel will roughly take you about 80 kms. i was running on low when i was driving to melbourne from sydney at a road trip with a camry v6 sportivo 05 model. i got lost while looking for a petrol station. the fuel gauge light had turned on way before i got lost and after hitting the final fuel gauge line, i travelled for about 95 kms on top of that trying to find a petrol station and as soon as i found one and entered the petrol station entrance, the car ran out of fuel and i did approx 95 kms. i panicked badly doing 80 kms on an empty tank and i was impressed with the 95 km mark. so just to let you guys know, if your running on empty and i mean empty ( as in last line of fuel gauge ) keep the 60-80 km mark in memory.
  7. ghahhah that engine is no where road legal nor small enough to fit in an aurion :D
  8. no idea but if i get the factory sat nav for the aurion zr6 im going to take it to a place to see if they can do something to it to play dvds. lol if they say for 200-250 well do it. im willing to give them that much. would be awesome to watch music clips when driving or watching dvds on road trips.
  9. lol yeh i figured after giving them a call up :D however i still havent ordered it. i thought about it for a long time because its worth too much for too little but i might order it next month. :D blew the sat nav money on a plane ticket :D so gotta save up a little more :P
  10. Lol... really Umm i dont think there is a way to force it to play DVD's...... so im guessing you paid a $2000 dollar GPS unit, toyota would be smiling. Well did you ask which one you are getting?, if you didnt you can guess by the price of it. over 3k RRP will be the factory looking not black one... i paid over 3k so it should be the silver one then. :) i asked her which 1 i would get and the lady told me that theres only 1 sort and that its the factory fitted version. i just dont want to be shocked last minute if i see an ugly black thing in the middle of the console. :D i paid over 3k so it must be the good looking one :) why is the black version also cheaper? i couldnt also find any features of the sat-nav. would there be any info in the aurion manual? Well according to the Toyota website, its basically the same as the stock unit unit, minus 2 cd slots, plus GPS and bluetooth which generally comes with gps units anyways these days. http://www.toyota.com.au/Accessories/acces...64_1312,00.html (though this ones for the black unit). Im guessing the black one is cheaper because its a pretty much like an aftermarket option, doesnt blend as well as the silver one and plus the silver one i assume Toyota assembles these whereas the black one is probably from a cheapo company rebranded. Some thing I just noticed is the Black version has a AUX input, which is definitely NOT on the Factory fitted version. And the Black one does not have FM2 ( I dont what this is, but it hasnt got a button for it ) yeh looks like im going to have the factory version. plus they would not fit a black version from the factory as it doesnt suit with the console so, my guess is same as yours. the black one must be as an aftermarket version where as the silver one is the factory version. hmm thats not right, when i asked the melbourne city toyota they offered me which one did I wanted, though I said no to both. Umm you can get the facia replacement for 30 bucks and that should fit that black one... dealer is different though. i made my dad call up for the order from toyota and i later took the phone and asked which 1 i would get and the lady said that its the factory version. they would not fit the black one in if its a factory version. like another buddy said, the black one must be from a dealership as an extra. they wouldnt fit the black one from the factory as it also doesnt match the console. ill call soon and ask about it. does anyone know if it would be expensive to make it play dvds. Yes if they tell u its the factory version then you will get teh silver, the black one is treated as an accessory as you can see on the toyota website, Well it depends if it has a video in jack if not then tough luck. You'll spend a mini fortune to butcher the unit and plus you'll lose the warranty. as rift said if you can get a portable dvd player and jack it in if it has the video input.... anyone have a photo of the back of the unit. would like to see if it has the video input but no luck with google lols.
  11. does the factory sat nav have tv and dvd playing feature like this one does?
  12. if you have got your P's before the aurion hit the market, you have no problems. however if you have got your P's after the aurion has come out, then you will have to look at the 125kw per tonne rule. and if its less than or equal to 125 you are good. if its more which i think it is, then no chance of driving it on your p's. thats all i know.
  13. wonder if its easy to install back the original springs after removing aftermarket springs. anyone know ? if its costly etc.
  14. imagine if his door dropped when he closed the door at the shops or something haha :D brand new car and look at the problems we are facing. luckily its fixed.
  15. shxxxtt, i saw the thread too late and missed it :(
