  1. Hi Team,

    Seeing if anyone has successfully swapped from Tarago 2 channel bench seat to a 4 channel 40/60split seats?

    The middle row in the tarago is abit wonky and they all seem to be this way.

    The Estima have smaller seats and probably better design/less wear and tear on the rails 

    Did some googling, it appears the outter channel part numbers are the same.
    Need to find out of the tarago has space for the 2 middle channels to bolt into.

  2. Hi Team,

    Just wanting to shed some light on the 1990-2000 model TCR10 tarago keyless entry and chip key, information doesn't seem to be readily available.

    Looking at purchasing a 99 tcr10 but only has 1 genuine key, which looks like it has an immobilizer chip in the key fob, Are they easy to replace? 
    Only saw one guy selling a generic Toyota "97-02" key with unprogrammed chips on ebay for $40, are these the same for all Toyota keys of the same era?

    The other thing is the keyless entry remote, there is alarm and security light,  but it never turns on according to the current owner.
    Haven't found any luck with this, did some searching but doesn't seem to have much if any info the the remote.
    Anyone got a picture of one or part number? easy to program?

  3. I too am in the same boat, I was looking for a Tarago but found the Estima had way more factory options than the overpriced Tarago's with over 300,000kms...

    Just watch out for those hybrid or diesel models (mk1?) as servicing could be troublesome

    Also some of the notifications and buttons might be in Japanese, the estima hybrid I had a look at had a touch screen in Japanese

    side note: why not go to a car dealer and have a look at one?

    Ie. Pickles or Manheim auctions who display the cars out in a yard like most car dealers

    Have a look and sus it out, not obligated to purchase...

  4. Response is noticeable over 4000rpm with a 2.75" inguard CAI and 2.25" exhaust with high flow cat and magnaflow turbo muffler on my old 1zzfe powered zze122r.

    The engine revved freely to redline, but not sure if it made more power, maybe 1-2HP?

    When the car on the market, the CAI was removed to make the car more stock, anyways drove the car around for afew days and the revs bog down enough to notice around 4000-redline consistantly compared to the CAI.

    At the end of the day, better off getting a sportivo or something engineered for more performance. ie:

    Confirming seats are different, my acsent being the pov pack 2002 version it even had 14" steel wheels from factory!

    Ended up buying one from a wrecker, choose these seats over a recaro LN seat, even when the LN is a good daily seat i tend to find my balls get squashed over time :S

    The more the bucket the more the squash... Bride brix? never again in a daily...

  6. Can confirm those ebay strut braces are rubbish.

    Bought a whole 4 brace kit (front/rear strut and crossmember brace) for $75 off ebay for a lancer cc gsr, bargin? hell no.

    They have so much flex I can go to bunnings and use a 2x4 plank of wood that would give more rigidity than these strut braces.

  7. The st141's weight under 1100kg so the 4agze 'should' be enough.

    But if you are going to pay people to do the work, its going to cost over 2k.

    ie. 4A Engine/Gearbox crossmembers need to be changed to suit 2S

    Tailshaft if you are going to use a T50 (better of with the W series)

    If using the W series, will need custom bellhousing/clutch setup to the 4A block

    Fuel system, ECU and loom

    a 3S swap may be more affordable or 7M maybe?
