  1. Hello MASH,

Ive now been able to turn off the TRC via the procedure I detailed above, ( With car in Park )

But I was unable to turn it off via your procedure while in drive, I must be doing something wrong.

Maybe the foot brake needs to be held on when doing the two park brake operations , If so, that wasnt in your description.

    Derek.

Derek, could you please update or modify the steps below since you got it work because if I follow the steps below it doesn't work.

    Thanks

    1. Make sure the car is in Park and the parking brake is disengaged before you start the car.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Engage the parking brake.

    4. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.

    5. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.

    6. Disengage the parking brake.

    7. Fully depress and hold down the brake pedal.

    8. Engage the parking brake, then disengage it (while holding down the brake pedal).

    9. Engage the parking brake, then disengage it (while holding down the brake pedal).

    10. Release the brake pedal.

    11. Engage the parking brake.

    12. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.

    13. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.

    Ma che cazzo?

  2. My Aircon is fine, freezing as - on full blast.

I wouldnt waste any time to make it work better, take it back as part of the 'lemon', Toyota is obliged to fix this...

    Ditto

You're not listening to us. Your car is not the norm. Hurry up, make some noise and get a new one because I'm sure you'd be impressed with the real deal.

Looks like someone at the factory grabbed all the bad parts and recycled them to make your car.

  3. Listen buddy

The sooner you ***** that car off and get a new one the better. No point asking us about our problems. Face it, it's a lemon and it'll never get fixed.

I've been following your crusade in silence so far in amazement. My ZR6, which I purchased in March has not missed a beat. No rattles, no noises. no problems. It's been great.

If I was you I would have gone down to that dealership and made such a scene that they would have had to call the cops. I mean, I would have made a fool of myself but hey, that's just me.

Keep hassling them every day and I'm sure something will happen.

    Good luck with it.

  4. ... Whats dual stand for? What does it do when its turned off or on?

It stands for: "Dual zone climate control which provides optimum comfort for everyone by enabling both the front passenger and driver to adjust their own temperature. Now that will stop some arguments".

My 2 cents question is: Does the air move ?

    BH

We have the ZR6 which obviously has dual zone climate control. I love it because when I'm driving I have the temp around 20 deg and my wife has hers on around 24-25 deg. Obviously I have cool air blowing on me but the overall temp in the car would be somewhere in between. BTW the temp for the vents for the back seats is an average of the two front settings. So people sitting in the back have no say on temp.

  5. If you have the Sat Nav then it is not too bright.

Otherwise it is alot brighter than any other car I've driven in. They should organise a dimmer for this much like you display panel.

Have spoken to Toyotal dealership regarding the matter and they have made note of it.

It's not a major issue just a little annoying a suppose. I never had a test drive at night - who does.

  6. Cant remember exactly when the order was placed - lets say the 17th May, but I pick it up this Thursday making the order-to-delivery time just over a month (and its been at the dealer a few days already). I am wrapped I have to say.

I wonder if Leaseplan get any preferance?

Well, picked it up last Thursday - I had high expectations and I havent been dissappointed, the car is schmick.

The quick delivery was explained "We found the car at another dealership and did a swap". Kinda happier with that than preferential treatment due to leaseplan.

One thing though, the salesperson said I should bring it back for the walkaround at 5000km or 3 months, whichever happens first. I thought it was 1000km, did anyone else get 5000km quoted?

I have to say a big thanks to Peter Brown at Kittle Toyota Salisbury SA for making the whole deal go as smooth as it did

    The Pig

My first and free service was at 1000 km. They actaully took the car for over an hour, took all the wheels off and checked the brake pads etc etc. I assuemd it was going to be a walk around service but that was not the case.

  7. VERY NICE.

If I had the money, I would get the ZR6 and I would get it in red... to me it looks better mainly in terms of the rear, as the brake lights and reflectors blend in abit more (they are abit to much in other colours as they stand out).... just a personal thing. Only thing IMO that they need over stock is some 19s... the stock 16s are abit bland for my liking, still looks good, but better rims complement the cars general good looks alot more, like this:

I agree that either 18's or 19's would look better. I am currently looking for a set of 18's at present. The ZR6 comes with 17's standard and with a little push are acceptable. I might even just leave them on.

  8. I was getting a reading of 46km cruising range. When i filled up the car could only fit in 55 litres, and I filled it right up because the price was going to rise the next day. That means I had roughly 15 litres left in the tank which would equate to at least 120kms.

  9. niceeeeeeeeee! i want one!

so how you do like the new V6 power compared to the 4cyc VVTL-i?

Haven't really tested her out yet because only done 1200km but there is plenty of power and very smooth transition through the gears. Also engine is super quiet even when you give it a bit of stick.
