  1. Thanks Michael. Will try what you have suggested. Hopefully not a faulty camera. Cheers Peter
  2. Have had the reversing camera from auspacks installed for a few weeks now. All working fine until a few days ago. All I get now is a blue screen with the word car in the top left hand corner. Has this happened to anyone else and if so how didi you fix it. I've checked all the connections at the camera end and they are alll fine If anyone can help then it would be greatly apprrecaited. Thanks
  3. Yes, my camera, supplied with the unit from Rob at Auspacks, has the scale imprint too. I just assumed everyone had the same scale. Doesn't bother me too much though.
  4. I just got mine installed this week, was going to do it myself, actually pulled everything out but thought, no, better get it done properly. From Geelong so probably too far away but they had never worked on an aurion before so it took them 4 hours to do the whole job. I was happy with the result.
  5. I'm pretty sure some one could shed some light for you.
  6. If the car is in good nick, which I'm 99% sure is the case then sell privately. You should be able to get somehwere in the low 30's for it. Good luck and will you stick with TOYOTA? If so which model?
  7. Would love to try and make it and say g'day if that's okay. My car is only stock though, so hopefully not too boring. If I get the chance would probably try and catch you all when you arrive at Toyota Headqurters (gotta come from Geelong you see)
  8. Lucky they didn't go off otherwise whole new kettle of fish.
  9. Great work guys. Will definetly have a look at this. Am e-mailing ROB right now to confirm price and availability. Looks great and all that for $899 + delivery
  10. This is the main difference - stiffer bracing The two Sportivo models - SX6 and ZR6 - get stiffer sports suspension with additional rear bracing, plus 17-inch alloy wheels with Michelin tyres for more assertive handling. They also get bodykits comprising of sports headlamps and rear combination lamps, sports radiator grille, front foglamps, a rear wing spoiler plus front and rear aprons and side skirts. Alloy-look sports pedals also make the Sportivo grades, as do 3-spoke leather-bound steering wheels. The top spec sports model, Sportivo ZR6, gets luxury extras like dual-zone auto air conditioning, black leather seat trim, two front and four rear clearance and reversing sonars, smart entry (including boot release) and engine push button start. The Sportivo ZR6 and SX6 models benefit from the more responsive handling of a firmer sports suspension system. A V-shaped brace keeps the rear suspension towers aligned and provides greater body rigidity for enhanced cornering. Firmer spring and stabiliser bar settings optimise cornering control even further, by reducing body roll and sharpening steering response even further. So you can play this game with nimble handling and greater control.
  11. Sorry to hear/see the bad news. Hate to see an Aurion damaged. Hopefully the door will be fixed/replaced and look as good as new. Cheers
  12. For our ZR6 we pay $575.49, that's with Advantage Insurance. Not too bad as we insure everything with them. Cheers

Cheers
  14. I filled up this morning at $1.36.9 (that was with a 4c shopper docket discount)
  15. How are Aurion owners being typecast? I was aiming at you, specifically. Before 'challenge for moderation position cat" rocked up, Aurion people were doing exactly what the rest of us are doing... and will continue to do so. I am hardly an enthusiast myself - my corolla is bog stock (an ascent - poor mans spec), with the exception of a different set of wheels. It just annoys me that we all seem to agree that this is the Toyota club, not one specific model club, yet you want your very own section - even without Aurion Sportivos!! Danos was completely correct in saying: It is purely unfortunate for you that, historically, most of this forum is zze series corollas - now they dont make them anymore, so give it 6 months to a year and I'm sure there will be as many Aurion owners. Until then - quit rocking the boat. Nothing personal, Leroy Thanks for the comments Leroy, it's good to see a little banter here and there because in the end we all want the same thing. I'm not trying to rock the boat, I was just putting my two cents worth because someone asked for a response. I suppose I was being a bit cheeky regarding having our own section but it was just a tongue in cheek comment really. Anyway I agree lets put this to rest and I think the current moderators do a great job, so let it be. Cheers and look forward to some other (more intersting) discussions. Cheers
  16. Such anger. 1. There are sweet FA active avalon members - so whats the problem sharing the space? We gave the Prius its own forum - apparently 1 person actually owns a prius <_< 2. You have your own section, as listed above. Aurion Sportivo happens to be.... an Aurion. Shock horror - perhaps we should set up an Aurion Sportivo section just for them too... 3. You apparently weren't here when the random Aurion guy rocked up and made a challenge for moderator. Then again, thats probably representative of your kind... only on here when you want something from everyone else (be it mechanical advice or a moderator's badge). If you are but a fringe dweller, why should you have an exclusive section, let alone your own exclusive moderator??? As for the rest of the Aurion section... I have no gripe with you :) . Rock on! Just keep it the way it is, and quite all the flaming. Having a seperate section will not integrate anyone, anywhere. Come on guys it was a tongue in cheek comment. I did get a little carried away though because some of the comments made, did hit a small nerve. I suppose in the end every person has there own needs. Obviously the average age of an Aurion driver is much higher than that of a Corolla driver, hense the reluctance to delve into other sections. (Yes that's right, some only want to know/find out something regarding their new purchase. It's a new car, there is no history there so there's alot to learn.) I must confess I'm a little dissapointed with the way some members treat/repsond to comments made by Aurion owners. Look at the comments made by Leroy and Tayles, type casting all aurion owners as non enthusiasts and only being here to gain information from everyone else. Yeah that's why I joined Mickey Tee: Thanks for your comment, you were spot on. I understand that if an Avalon owner were to join the forum then at least they would have a section to head to for comments. Although I don't think they will find too many comments regarding Avalons, but hey that's not the point. It's also great to see you acknowledge that it is the Toyota Owners Club. (Not the enthusiasts owners club ) Look, in the end everyone has the right and the privelige to be a member of a forum and if they only want to take part in certain sections then that's up to them. As I've stated previously, I enjoy reading comments made within the club lounge and other sections but have not made too many replies in these areas. Cheers all and have a great day. Pete
  17. Maybe you haven't seen any posts from us Aurion owners as we are hard working people who cannot spend every night checking the forum. I try and check every 3-4 days to catch up on what's been happening. What can you do to integrate us further? Well lets see, give us our *** dam own section for starters. What does an aurion and avalon have in common? Yeah an engine, four wheels and one spare, a steering wheel and few other things but that's it. What's this Aurion Sportivo rubbish? Come on, give us an identity at least. I do venture into the club lounge area and enjoy some of the comments made, but I'm and old *****, and to be honest, feel a little out of my league when discussing issues as I don't know that much about cars. That's why I'm here, to learn some more. Anyway have a great day all, catch in the next 3-4 days, back to work for me. Ciao Pete
  18. Yeah When the little one wakes up in the car seat, she makes that noise too. Not good, don't know how to fix it yet.
  19. Yeah, I can see why that would be. Although all Aurions look good regardless the colour.
  20. I Have a ZR6 in red (whatever code name). During the day when the sun is out it is a sparkling res. At night it looks dull browny orange. The photo shown on the ad is taken at night or in a tunnel thus the change in colour possibly.
  21. +1. I firstly felt embarassed telling my friends to release the foot brake when they went for a spin but now I wouldn't have it any other way. Also the wife doesn't have to struggle anymore releasing the park brake by hand.
  22. Not worth it at all. If you are going to have a major problem with the car it'll happen within the first six months. You'll only be covered for major mechanical problems and not small issues. I wouldn't bother, it's just like paying for paint protection and interior protection. All just a scam and I should know because I got those done. Better off spending the money every six months on a full detail.
  23. Car looks good, well done on a great job. It's worth the expense in my opinion
