Awesome effort with the rolla man! Rather jealous of white tivos. Recently did coilovers myself just to fix old original struts but now the mod bug has bitten *sigh.

You joined the WA corolla Sportivo club man? Look it up on Facebook if you can, we're having a cruise in a few weeks and would love to see you there! WA rep mate ;)

I know it would be expensive from Toyota hence why i mentioned apart from Toyota.

From what i understand all you need to do is replace the head unit with a GPS one that comes with the GPS Antenna.

My headunit has the capabilities to have GPS, but apparently it needs a module plugged in the back or something. Maybe try find that part instead of having to look for the whole system or something? :))

Be careful with bonnet protectors. Had one on mine and it scratched the paint where the mount points are.

A suggestion from a mate was to get some clear wrap and wrap the bonnet to stop it from it wrecking the paint.

I've got these little things that are meant to stop that from happening but i will take your advice, it should only be like 70 bucks too which is mad. Cheers man.

Because you have used your allocated space(which isn't much) on the forum server. You will need to use a photo storage site like Photobucket and post the links.

I thought it may work like that, thanks mate.

Why do you have Bridgestone decals on Yokohama tyres?

I won them in a competition, doesn't really matter as most people won't look that close. Couldn't justify spending an extra 200 bucks on potenzas on a car i'm not tracking

Why is the photo upload size only 0.16mb now, i swear i've uploaded larger files and i cant compress my photo's that far without them looking bin.

  5. How the stivo is currently sitting at the moment, wish my iphone took better photos as this would have been perfect if not for the kind of fuzziness. Photoshoot soon though with a good friend of mine!
    New additions as of late;
    - Bridgestone decals on my tyres, Yokohama r1's all the way around
    - Rubber Lip
    - Bonnet Protector
    - New plates KEEPMIRIN the stivo ;)
    - Still waiting on front splitters, have ordered carbon fibre ones and will update soon enough
    - wrapping foglights in yellow vinyl soon
    - Still waiting on my spark plug cover as it was being custom made, estimated ship date of august 4th

Cheers guys, hope everyone's doing well!

The photo isn't uploading, ill have to figure out another way sorry guys.

Well I spoke a bit too soon. There's now a high pitched whirring from 3rd gear upwards from around 2200rpm to 3200rpm roughly. I took the chance in not replacing all the bearings as the specialist said they would cost an extra $700 to replace when I was doing the main bearings.

At around 100kph on a quiet road I can hear some bearing chatter when I power on / back off, so it looks like there's definitely some other bearings now gone.

Does anyone have a breakdown of all the bearings in the Sportivo box and costs of them?

    Thanks

I had my gearbox synchro's and bearing replaced under insurance, but i remember them quoting me at around 500 for all six of the main bearings (without labour obviously). So unlucky bro, it sucks so bad i understand exactly how it feels.

  7. Yeah man, even if you haven't done any performance mods every little bit you do to your car makes it yours, and everyone else is no doubt the same. Alot of people around my area and the club i'm apart of drive the same ****, r33's, a few 32 and 34's but having something unique is a great conversation starter man. If someones a bit of a gimp you'll be able to tell before you even speak to them so just stick with the ones that are just kind of chilling together, not the blokes that blast a subwoofer the entire meet.

    Goodluck bro :)

  8. It's really hard going to meets alone man, all my mates don't care for the car scene besides my best mate, but he drives a holden so he can't really come to the meets that i go to. Honestly if you rock up earlier whilst it's quiet, it's alot easier to have a chat to people. I generally introduce myself and then ask them what they drive, regardless if it's modded or 30 years old ;)

I like what you've done with your car mate, the corolla scene in Sydney is fairly big i've heard!

  9. So today i got around to painting my brake calipers, i only had enough time to do the fronts today as i had to learn how to take it apart and put it back together. All though it was really simple and ill get the rear ones done in half the time, i did really enjoy doing this. Just listened to some music and spend some quality modding time with my stivo.

So i started with these rusty slotted brake discs. I took off all the paint using WD40 and a wire brush, was a bit monotonous but the end product was absolutely worth it.

    After some WD40, a wire brush, a bit of primer and some lush gloss black paint;

    And then onto my calipers!

And my final product, not the most flattering photo i know but the difference in them is fantastic.

Surely my custom plates and spark plug cover arrives soon??

  10. Mirin hard, bit dissapointed that you don't have a mightycarmods sticker though ;)
If you want to hold up the bootcover on your shifter man, get a small zip tie and put it around the shifter. I did it the other week because having that gap between the knob and the boot cover is really annoying. Up to you though!

Whats the deal with the headers too, do we purchase the ones they have listed and then send in our stock ones?

  11. Cheers guys, wasn't trying to say it's finished but it's just going to be a bit harder now.

So since attempting to change my foglight bulbs today to my new LED ones, they foglights dont work anymore. I tried them with the old bulbs and they still don't work so it's not the bulbs that are the issue. Any advice on what could be the issue? I looked for the fuse in the box but there isnt a fuse labelled foglight. Will test bulbs some way i suppose.
