If you going to fab your own, if you copy the TRD design it runs parallel to the width of the battery also to note the maf is placed in the middle.

Because the tube goes parallel, the TRD desugn uses a 45 degree couple which I've heard can be hard to source.

injen and the rest design sweeps away from the battery in an upside down V Path. Then used a straight coupler than 45 deg. To join with the throttle body bl

Cheers bro! Ill defiantly look into it man
It's actually looking like it would be cheaper to order my intake from america, even with the bad exchange rates atm
Averaging about 500$ per intake system from aus, where as american sites are asking like 370 without postage

CES is overpriced for what it is, I make my own.  The TRD is a good intake, people that have problems with it need to clean their MAF.

My mate suggested we just make our own and buy a pod, not sure though ill have to see i suppose :)

I've got an Injen on my 2005.

Screams in top end, one of the loudest you can get.

Haven't had any issues with it since I installed it. Did the ECU reset and she still runs like a dream.

Where'd you get it from man? :)

  3. Hey guys, i've been following this forum for quite awhile as i've been interested in buying a Sportivo for awhile and as destiny came to be i would indeed end up with one! This is my 2005 Corolla Sportivo with a few mods I've done alone and with my best mate recently. Prior to purchasing this car, i did look at a few others including one that i thought i'd get, though it had been in an accident that was unrecorded and lacked any service history what so ever. I wasn't expecting perfection by any means and i knew that it would be almost impossible to find. Thus,  i settled with my beautiful example of a sportivo and i'm trying to create something i can be proud of.I'm located in Wa and am curious as to how many people still own a stivo on this forum as it's been a lot slower as of late I've noticed. The red Stivo is a 2003 model and is owned by my step dad and is also the car i learnt in. I think he's pretty proud to know that i've also become attached the last non gutless corolla made by Toyota. ;)

Updating this as of Sept. 13th, 2016 so you're not having to find what the car's looking like at the moment!
