Hi everyone, My wife and I recently bought a 1979 hiace poptop campervan, appears to be in very original condition. Well we have put a deposit on one anyway and pick it up NSW in coming weeks. We hope to restore it to its original glory with maybe a few modern bits here and there to make it safer and more enjoyable and then do a bit of travel around Australia with our young son. The van seems a bit different to others we have looked at, has sliding doors on both sides and apart from it being a second gen hiace I can't find out what specific model it is. I/we hope to use this forum a lot and meet other people with same or similiar campervans to learn from and hopefully also buy parts and get info if and when we need as well.
